The Baluue dissection needles are a huge upgrade to using sewing needles to remove splinters and for punching small holes on soft materials. The handles are long with a texture for being able to hold firmly without slipping. The diameter of the handles are similar to jeweler’s screwdrivers. I knocked a star off on my review because the points on the needles are dull and rough; polishing to a sharper point on super fine grit sandpaper was required before I could use them.

I bought these based on the advertised picture and adjacent claim that they have a "sharp tip". The product received was far inferior. The points vary widely within the lot. Some are quite blunt and all have a very rough ground surface. (Note that the smooth, sharp point at the top of the photo is just a plain sewing needle for reference).The advertised picture is not representative of what I received.

I use these as little picks for jobs around the house. They work excellent. I had a different batch of dissection needles like this before as well which were thicker, but not much difference.

I returned these because they we’re two-toned. It looked like they were clearly burnt on the bottom halves. And it came wrapped in bubble wrap. There was no case or container. This is hazardous.
