Ordered three parts from them and one broke with a catastrophic failure of the metal shearing all the way around the part, it should be impossible unless they literally used the cheapest lowest quality metal available. Cost me many many hours of work. Never again Bapmic. Dont trust them to anything that involves your safety or vehicle.

Changed the tensioner around a thousand miles ago and have not had any noise since. Quick to install and cheap to buy.

I run a garage and ordered this tensioner because my parts place didnt offer it and this was the fastest best priced option. I had just finished a head gasket on a 04 mini and when I was re installing the tensioner because that's what the customer wanted I realized it was collapsed and could not be used because the risk of jumping timing on initial start up I installed this new tensioner i ordered and all was fine on first start up for about all of 10 mins went on first test drive got back and it had chain rattle at idle when i would rev it rattle went away until it came back to idle i pulled the new tensioner out and it was now collapsed so I ordered the factory tensioner and when I installed it there were no more issues this tensioner will let you down It didnt even last 30 mins and could damage a engine

I was doing a lot of work on my 04 Mini Cooper S and decided to replace the chain tensioner while I had the wheel off. Its in a tight spot behind the passenger wheel. My car has the oil cooler which makes it even harder to get to. I purchased a set of metric u-joint sockets from HF which made it much easier to get it off. Just put the tensioner in the hole and replace the cap. Super easy. My car runs so much smoother. No more chain noise.

Perfect fitment on my 05 R53 Mini Cooper S. Replaced in 20 minutes and got rid of my timing chain rattle.

Super easy to install, 20 min job on a 2003 Mini Cooper S. Just remove the tire and wheel well plastics and the bolt is right there, unbolt it , pull out the old part, replace, bolt everything back up.

When you’re installing this you have to make sure it will extend and put pressure on the chain otherwise the slack in the chain could cause it to skip a tooth with the car first starts.
