My girl is absolutely love this toy! My husband has been showing my girls how to be handy, but they haven’t been showing much interest. However, this Barbie tool kit has been a game changer! The girls are going around the house “fixing” everything the toy tools. It even include pseudo nails to “hammer”. The measuring tape was the highlight of the kit! Girls and parents approved!

Huge hit with my 3 year old niece! She loved playing with this Barbie tool kit and her older cousins, various ages up to about 10, also joined in and had fun. The pieces are all well-made and functional. The tool box is super cute! Highly recommended!

My firstborn is a boy and he absolutely loved his tools. We still have them and plan to introduce our little girl them, but this set was just too cute to pass up. I mean, they are Barbie themed! I saw the other reviewer complain about the lack of accessories to “make” something. Look, this is for imaginary play. By virtue of that, you make up your own games and scenarios. I personally think this set is perfect. The toolbox is made well and stores everything when not in use. The tools, although plastic and not real tools, are crafted well and fit little hands well. I love that my girl will have her own toolbox and know her way around tools by playing with this set. This is an easy 5 for me.

I really loved the idea of a Barbie toolbox, so I was excited to see this. The overall presentation is cute, and the colors are appealing. The case is cute also, but I found that the box itself doesn't close very well. The tools are ok, but all are pretty cheap plastic, and I don't think they'll hold up very well over time.If you're getting this for maybe a 3-5 year old, then this set is probably fine and age-appropriate. But I think it would be better if the tools were more durable and were maybe even realistic enough that they could be used to help a parent with small tasks around the house (such as tightening the screws on a cabinet knob, for example).This set didn't quite meet my expectations, but it's somewhat cute, and would work for very young children.

My soon-to-be 3-year-old daughter is always grabbing tools from her brother’s playset whenever she sees something that "needs fixing," so when I saw this Barbie Tool Box Playset, I knew it would be the perfect surprise for her! She absolutely loves it and started playing with it right away. The set includes 18 tools, and the working tape measure is such a great touch! The pink Barbie-themed toolbox is sturdy, easy to carry, and keeps everything organized. I also love that it's safe, durable, and encourages hands-on play. Now I’m even thinking about getting one for my niece, who is into more traditionally "boy" toys. She would love this too! Highly recommend this adorable and fun playset!

This is a perfect set for my 4 year old. Would recommend for kids 3 years and up. It would probably be too young for children in the 7 year old range. The plastic tools are well made for their purpose and the color is the bright pink you'd expect! With the tools and the dual purpose tool box, this would make a great gift at a wonderful value. The only thing that I see that makes it Barbie are some basic stickers. I would have liked to have seen some other more "Barbie-ish" themes with the tools, but I think the purpose was for them to make it cute but relevant. The tool box size makes it perfect for carrying around Barbies too! Lots of imaginative play opportunities with this set.

My 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old really love this tool box and have a lot of fun with it! There are some small pieces I keep out when the younger one is playing with it, but she loves the hammer and tape measurer, and my older one loves that she’s able to actually use the screw driver to make things with the screws and pieces. All pieces are as expected in quality- plastic but not flimsy. The box itself has two latches that have held up so far and I very much appreciate a place to store all of the parts!The set is very cute, but the extent of the Barbie theme is some seemingly hand placed stickers on the items. Seems that anyone could do that to a generic toy set, but doesn’t affect the use and for the price didn’t cause me to reduce my rating. My daughter did like that it is Barbie themed.

I preface a lot of my furniture related reviews by saying I am not a handy person. BUT I've made it a point to learn how to independently assemble virtually everything I buy, whether it is furniture, kids' toys, etc. and also getting better about DIY projects. It's something that was important to me when I first found out I was going to be a dad, because I wanted to set a good example of learning how to be self-sufficient versus outsourcing tasks to someone else. I'm a big believer in doing things on your own when feasible, because I think it helps you grow as a person and makes you more confident.So with that in mind I believe it's even more important for little girls, who traditionally are not expected to learn how to be handy.With this Barbie Toolbox set, it is not only adorable but surprisingly so affordable for a licensed, big brand name product with a current price point of $16.It has all the essential tools that I use for most of my projects (except a saw, I'm not THAT handy, lol!). They are safe, but semi-realistic looking versions of the tools I am using, and it adds some comic relief to what can be otherwise prolonged, tiring projects.The nuts and bolts included are large enough to not be a choking hazard as well, which was something important I think I needed to take note of.Also as another perk, if for whatever reason you no longer want the tools you can use the case as a storage container for other toys for your little one.5/5. Highly recommended!!
