All NEW Barge All-Purpose Cement is a professional strength glue / adhesive that can be used on Leather, Rubber, Vinyl, PVC, Polyurethane, Cotton, Synthetic fabrics, Woven fabrics. It is much stronger than anything you can find in a retail store. Please be advised that we receive this item straight from the factory. They don't do the best job of packaging the cans well, so when we receive them, they are pretty banged up. The quality of the product doesn't suffer because of it, but it may not please your aesthetic taste :). Use to patch rubber boots, resole leather shoes and boots and much more! This ONE QUART, 32 oz. can comes with an applicator brush attached to the lid.

Worked great on reattaching the souls to my hiking boot but did not work well attaching where the souls came loose on my skate shoes. Rubber to fabric seems to be a little bit of an issue for this product but I still highly recommend the product in regards to how well it attached the soles back on my hiking boot.

It's a more clear version of the regular Barge glue. I took pictures of the regular gold glue and the clear glue straight out of the package, for comparison. It has a tint of yellow, but it's clear. It still has a chemical smell, but obviously it's a strong chemical you're messing with.

Absolutely amazing product, no odor at all and EASY to use. In this summer weather the cement turns tacky quickly when applied and the contact is very effective. I’m using this to overlay exotic skins to my bags and as a precaution I do not pre-prep the bag for a reason, just in case of a mistake I can (with muscle) peel off the skins without damage to the bag. Excellent non-toxic cement !

Don’t forget to wear the protection when you using it and open a windows! It’s very toxic but work’s excellent for a cosplay ;)

I'm using contact cement to connect pieces of EVA foam for cosplay props and armor. In summary, I don't like the "Blue Barge" as well as the standard stuff. But it does work with enough patience.I bought the Toluene Free (TF) version because toluene is the most dangerous chemical in most contact cements. I still use a respirator and ventilation though!I had several failed attempts at using this to assemble some foam props. It just wouldn't adhere and hold the way I've seen other cements manage. After getting some tips from another cosplay maker, I discovered the 10-15 minute drying time suggestion wasn't long enough. If I waited for 30 minutes, I got much better results. For my purposes, 30 minutes is a bit too long. But I'm not throwing out the rest of the can since I know the trick now.

I have used traditional Barge for a while and then tried this out. I have not noticed any change in performance. I use it exclusively with leather, which means that with other materials I cannot vouch for the properties of this formulation. I would get it again without reservation for leather work.

So far so good. Should be cheaper though
