Bright and not a heavy item. I like that there was also multiple ways to install this light. Right now, it is sitting about 3 inches above my sprouting tomato seeds. They are out in a porch greenhouse sitting on a grow mat. As they sprout and get bigger, I will place another fixture along its side and raise the height. It looks easy to connect another one which is good. This fixture is a good way to provide those greenhouse plants adequate light without a hassle.

A lot of listings on Amazon tend to advertise specs that are way off from reality. Not this grow light. I am happy to report that the specs on the product description are almost an exact match to the unit I received. That's a rarity in today's market where it's an arms race between manufacturers to deliver a light with the highest lumens or whatever they are peddling these days.I tested this light with a Sekonic meter between 12 and 13 inches from the bottom of the light fixture. The spectrum I captured is nearly identical to the spectrum shown in the product advertisement. Whether this spectrum is optimal for plant growth is beyond the scope of this review, but I am happy to see the advertised specs are pretty much exactly what they deliver. Perhaps even more important than the spectrum is the quantity of light delivered. In one of the product photos, they advertise as 197.8 umol/m^2/s. As I mentioned, I measured between 12 and 13 inches -- at this distance I recorded 185 umol/m^2/s. Pretty much exactly as advertised! The CRI came out at 89.8, which is also exactly what they advertised. However, this isn't really a very important metric for a grow light, in my opinion.Aside from the specs being exactly as advertised, the rest of the light is also great. The body is a nice aluminum extrusion, which is great for dissipating the heat. It feels sturdy. It gets warm during operation, but not overly hot. Power cord is relatively short, as another reviewer mentioned, but I just use an extension cord. The included mounting hardware isn't the greatest, but works just fine.

Grow Light is very bright and works well .Only neg i have about this Light is the Power cord is way too short , i have the Lights mid way up my 80in tall grow tent and the cord just barely makes it out of the tent . exits are in the top sadly . i would of loved if it was abit longer so i could plug it into my timer without needing a extension cord .it having pass thur power is nice also for daisy chaining but i wouldn't plug too high of a load into it , going by the cord thickness . so max of 5 of these 4 foot lights i would guess without getting out a amp meter and checking the draw .it throws off a nice yellow light so its not too harsh , dont look at it when you plug it in , like getting a high power flashlight shined in your eyes . i may of had it upside down when i test it .the outside clips to hand the light are nice , not a fan of the inside ones you have to clip onto the top frame of the light . they dont slide so you have to put them where you want clip them down and if its not balanced or its in the wrong place very carfully pry one of the side clips up to get it to detach so you can re-position it and try again .

I used this light to give my seedlings a strong start, and they definitely thrived under it. Even though it features a lot of red diodes, I found it lacking when it comes to flowering. The linkable design is convenient because it keeps things organized, and the on/off switch is straightforward to use. It also runs fairly cool, so I don’t have to worry about overheating my plants. Overall, it’s an excellent option for young or vegging plants, but consider something else if you plan on focusing on blooms.

This took my seed starting area over the top. I was able to adhere this to the underside of a folding table and I set my station up under there. This is extremely bright and I won't have any worries about my seedlings stretching. It has a nice flat bottom that makes attaching it to the underside of something pretty easy. It also comes with plenty of hardware for other attachment types.

It's lightweight. Super bright and easy to install. It's waterproof and floods a good amount of area. You can daisy chain it or run it on its own if needed. Best price for the light itself.
