Although advertised for the XPS 13 range it fits perfectly with the XPS 15 9500/9510. Nice flush fit that allows for easy installation and removal.The SD card slot on the 9510 is not square like the older XPS 13's so it doesn't fill the chamfered sides of the slot on the 15 however it's not at all an issue and you can only tell if you're looking at it direclty.Don't let this put you off if you're looking for a flush SD card reader for the 9500/9510 however - its the most suitable reader I could find.

As others have noted, removing the MSD card will probably be difficult, but my intention is to leave it inserted, so satisfied for now.

Although BaseQI recommends a different model (750A) for the XPS15, I found that that model stuck out of my laptop a little bit, which I didn't care for. I tried this model (730A/731A) instead, and it's an absolutely perfect fit for my XPS15 (9500). It fits just right in both dimensions and is flush with the side of my laptop, exactly as I wanted. As other reviewers have noted, the micro SD slot on this adapter is a tight fit, making it a bit of an ordeal to get the SD card in or out, but once you get it in the adapter works like a charm.

It went in fine, but when I tried to pull it out that "aluminum" part just felled off and now I have a laptop with a card stuck in it! My worst amazon purchase ever!

I have used this adapter for my other laptops for over two years and it work great. I recently bought this adapter for my new Dell XPS 15 9500 and I have been using it for about 3 weeks with no problem. This adapter added instance 512 gb to the laptop (SAMSUNG EVO Select microSDXC UHS-I U3). The adapter fit perfectly in my Dell Xps 15 9500 laptop.

The good - this is a beautifully manufactured part, quite overkill for the laptop it plugs into.The bad - As some other reviewers have noted, the SD slot is tight, actually it is downright obnxiously undersized. It is extremely difficult to insert an SD card and near impossible to remove once inserted. You basically require pliers to remove an SD card. Due to the tightness some SD cards won't fit in all the way, part of the card pokes out beyond the adapter's boundaries and makes it extremely hard to insert the adapter into the laptop.I have used other shortened adapters on the XPS 13 and none of them are crazy like this one.Come on BASEQI, make the SD slot a little larger and deeper. Then this would be a 5 star adapter across the board.

I used this to insert a microSD card into an inexpensive Dell Laptop. It allowed me to insert the card flush with the side of the laptop. Works as expected. Quality appears to be very high.

I wanted to leave my SD card with micro sd card in my new XPS 13 9360 but with the standard micro sd card adapter sticking out 1/4 inch, that was not practical.This item - BASEQI Aluminum microSD Adapter for Dell XPS 13"(731A) - works perfectly for this. The inserted adapter is fully flush (maybe a hair's thickness inside the slot). The adapter has a small slot in the edge so that it is easier to pull out with a finger nail. Inserting a micro sd card into this adapter is somewhat difficult as the fit is tight.The build quality is great. The end of the adapter is aluminum. The rest of the adapter is high quality plastic (better quality than the typical micro sd card adapter).Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Perfecta para un dell xps 9570. Le queda muy ajustada,tanto que para sacarla hay que usar un pincho o herramienta.Por lo demás, buena construcción, quizás algo caro para lo que es. Pero eso no quita que dejes de comprarlo, porque es el que mejor le queda.
