Must have for any 48re transmission. I was having wild shift issues in my 2006 Ram 2500. Bought this and paired it with the ATS diesel solenoid block and haven’t looked back. We all know ATF+4 isn’t cheap so dropping the pan and loosing the fluid sucks. If you’re having issues and are doubtful , just buy the pair and do it once

I installed this along with the ATS Diesel GM solenoid & did have some noticeable improvement in shift quality. Idk why ATS Diesel doesn’t offer an upgraded transducer with their block? These two parts go hand in hand.

My 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 48re transmission was shifting hard from 1st to 2nd and sometimes it would down shift then up shift from those gears, it was also taking a long time to go into over drive. After about a hour worth of labor and a ATS governor solenoid everything is shifting perfect, smooth! Highly recommend installing these together and is a must in these transmissions.

Have a 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 Cummins containing a 48RE transmission with only 50K miles. Started noticing a shuttle shift between 1 and 2 at light acceleration and a second issue upon passing and reentry into lane again (truck would gear down for passing but when gearing up again my check engine light would come on and give a P0868 (Low Pressure) code.Researched for awhile and over and over again these two items were recommended to solve the problem. All I can say is it solved the problems and also made it shift as smooth as butter under light acceleration, has firmer shifts under moderate acceleration and doesn't shift hunt at all. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Other part of the project was an ATS GM Governor pressure solenoid block.
