Ordered this switch and later on had a replacement mailed out. It works but not up to spec, this switch should show continuity/close at 92 Celsius (+/-3 C) and open at 87 Celsius. Both of the ones I received were way off, closing temperature was between 98-101 Celsius, opening temperature was fine. My tested method was heating water in a pot, and at the same time having a multi meter attached to the 2 contacts on the switch, temperature was taken using an IR reader that was tested for accuracy before use.I didn't want to install it, test it on the vehicle only to have to uninstall it and waste coolant. I bought this switch to lower temp abit compared to my OEM switch.

We had purchased one last year for my car but later on we found we needed one for the other fan and we got one from Advance Auto but it didn't work. When my son came up for the holidays, he ordered this brand again and it worked!!

I purchased this assuming this was the problem and would resolve my cooling issues. I replaced the fan switch and does fit as described at the T-stat housing, but the main problem was the cooling fans - replaced and confirmed they are working with the paperclip, however, they were still not turning on. Finally tested out the NEW Beck/Arnley Fan switch to find it is not working. I tested it using the a soda can with water and bringing up to 200+F on the stove which is way above the normal opening temp of 180. Multimeter reads no continuity. I even tested the multimeter with any piece of metal lying around which did show continuity. Contacted manufacturer - awaiting to see how this is handled.

I bought this sensor or switch about a year ago, from amazon. It looks like it does the job and dont really know about it's durability, haven't check it for any failure. I prefer this brand before the cheaper ones
