I often shoot clay targets and use my tailgate for assembly and cleaning of shotguns. This pad makes a fantastic work surface. I've used Bed Rug products in my last 5 pickups. Now for the caution. The clearance between my tailgate and truck bed floor was so tight that the tailgate mat kept catching and coming lose from the velcro every time I closed the tailgate. To fix I slowly closed the tailgate while pushing the bottom of the mat into the gap and left the tailgate closed for a full day. It formed the bottom of the mat an it no longer catches.

Hi, have the deck roll out cargo shelf and I like this mat over the tailgate because I often use the tailgate as an impromptu workbench. Easy to install easy to remove the vacuum and rinse down.

I added this to my tailgate to make it much less painful on my knees when I'm crawling in and out of the bed. Instructions were perfect, adhesives are excellent.Highly recommend

I'm a huge fan of BedRug mats and have used them in my last two vehicles but this tailgate mat doesn't live up to the BedRug name. The loop strips sewn into the back of the tailgate map need to be longer, perhaps the full width of the tailgate, to be able to stand up to the every day friction of opening and closing the gate and sliding cargo in and out. After only one month of moderate use the stitching between my tailgate mat and the loop strips is coming unraveling and I don't expect the mat to stay in place much longer. I'm a little disappointed with BedRug, which typically makes much more durable products.

The tailgate bedrug for the new body style Ram 1500 fit the tailgate well and the adhesive Velcro sticks great. However, there are not exact places for the Velcro strips to go on the tailgate. Some of the strips ended up needing to be adhered to a recessed part of the tailgate, which may or may not be an issue moving forward.
