These don't have the same thickness as some of the higher end "Monster" or "Kramer" VGA cables but in terms of use for small computer installations they are perfect, a lot of times I find the bigger bulkier cables do not bend and curve as well as these thinner types, I know this is to ensure that the don't become kinked and short out, but the weight of the more expensive bulkier cables tends to wear on the VGA terminal it is connected to, I have had two video cards to wear out on my PC over the years and I couldn't be certain but I would attribute a portion of the cause to bulky cables that will not bend when installed up against a wall and instead over time wore the connection within the video card.

my HP Envy is networkd w/ my home theater, and i have a wireless Logitech keyboard. until i get a better video card (GPU) w/ an HDMI out, i have to use a VGA cable to the HDTV and a Toslink optical line for the audio to the receiver. the computer is in the bedroom; the home theater, and HDTV is in the living-room. i have a passive VGA splitter (which works fine for short distances) in the bedroom going to the monitor, and the VGA cable to the living-room needed an extension, because i moved. this works excellent for a low-priced cable. the question remains as to its durability...

I need a Male/Female cable to use with a VGA extender. I didn't realize until I received the cable that the fastening posts actually prevented the cable from connecting because any VGA outlet would not accommodate that. I decided to take my chances with a hack saw and successfully (and easily) removed the posts from the female end. The posts are only needed if using as an actual extension to prevent the cables from being pulled apart. It worked great for my application.

It was black, not white, which was great. Attached easily. Pins lined up, ends matched up, was fast. I bought this with an Aluratek AVSO 2 to 4 VGA Video Spliter for my 2003 emachines desktop.I stopped using cable tv a year ago. Online choices exceed cable. I connected a large flat LCD monitor as a clone to my bulky desktop monitor to have distance. I chose an amplified splitter. I have no problems with the distance and am able to move the flat monitor around leaving keyboard and mouse at my desk. The cord is stiff enough not to tangle and flexible enough to make turns. I recommend this choice and combination. The monitors have six foot cords as does the splitter, adding more length. All that distance without any sacrifice in power or clarity or changing my video/sound card. Added a long speaker cord I taped to this extension cord so they move together. The speaker cord was impossible to find in stores, so buy at the same time, if needed. Movies while I tuck-point! TV shows while I strip paint. Baseball at my work bench! Left a TV in basement with my battery back-up for digital local weather.

I had to make to separate orders and that right tells ya that this product worked for me. First order was for four to work on a projector for a club and it worked so good that I ended up ordering three more because the owner of the club liked it so much that set up another projector for the other side of the building. Easy to use and put together. Good shipping and delivery. No Complaints. Good company.

Belkin isn't high in terms of consumer name recognition - but they produce a pretty wide range of products. Cables to Routers. I've never been disappointed in any of their products which deliver to value pretty dependably. This cable is another one of those products. A simple product (VGA Extension Cord) - but it needs to work reliably. This cable was nearly the least expensive one available - and it works well / as expected with higher resolution. I'd buy as many more as needed without any regret or remorse.

??? In this review I was asked to rate 1-5 stars on this product's ease of use and sound quality - i have no idea why, as this is strictly a visual product.Anyway - I use this male to female VGA monitor extension cable to extend another 15' VGA cable which connects my laptop to my 46" LCD TV. I would say I am very discerning when it comes to assessing audio/video quality and still feel the picture is nearly PERFECT. It does what it is supposed to, without any detectable degrading to the image quality or "noise." The build feels solid and at the same time, not too rigid. I am very happy with this product.*UPDATE:This and the other cable I bought at the same time, 2.5 years ago, both seem to be working well. Neither has seen heavy abuse, so I can't attest to it's road-worthiness, but in my home it still carries a strong, clear signal!
