Your cart is empty.When you think about lowering your Sport Truck or SUV, historically the most overlooked component is the shock absorbers, with many Sport Truck or SUV owners simply leaving the factory units installed as a "good enough" after thought. However, when you lower your Sport Truck or SUV, many of the components that you will use reduce the effective travel of the shock absorbers and can render your OEM shock absorbers virtually useless. This results in not only poor ride quality & reduced driving enjoyment, but a large safety concern. The first time you need to perform an emergency maneuver like swerving to avoid a child, animal or another vehicle on the road, you will quickly find out exactly what we mean. Excessive body roll and an incredible amount of front lean on braking, and rear dip on acceleration are all effects of a shock absorber (or more appropriately named damper) that is not working correctly as it is out of its element or operating range. You have effectively tied the dampers hands behind its back, not enabling it to do its job and control or dampen the movements of the suspension. I can say with confidence these beltech street performance shocks are the best I’ve ever owned. I couldn’t believe how much better they are that the bilsteins that had around 15,000 miles on them. This is on a lowered 2005 GM Yukon with spindles and keys up front with free travel mod and 4” beltech springs in the rear. It was a bouncy mess before and now it actually handle well. Really well, I plan to do sway bars next but so far very impressed with the improvement with these shocks

Installed these on a 2005 tahoe with a 4/6 drop, bags, spindles etc. Rides excellent but better than that this tahoe now feels very athletic and less like an elephant lumbering around. Also I have an extra 700lbs in the back from a c-pillar wall with 4 18s and 4 extra batteries. The shipping as fast, the shocks and spindles from belltech are top notch. If you are looking to treat your ride the right way, then buy these shocks, you will not regret doing so. You will however regret buying any others for a dropped and heavy ride. I've tried every shock out there and these suit my purpose and feel great. Also make sure to check your washers/spacers before installing as they tell you in the directions, if you do not handle this then you will get rattles and general looseness in the front and rear just like you would with any shock.
