The California Carhartt equivalent of work ware. Born out of San Fransisco in the 30's, the design is true to it's old school roots. This jacket is quality.

Just got it today. It was stiff and a little loose. Washed it, and it's perfect. I'm 5"10 230 lbs. I ordered xl I can zip it up without looking like it's tight. All my carhartt stuff is xl. When I order t-shirts or sweaters from other companies I fit 2x. Ben davis fits a little bit bigger 👍. Order the same size as carhartt.

For tall men, the sleeves are a bit short. It seems the company could lengthen by an inch or so. For shorter arms, the cuff would keep the sleeve back and not too bunched either.

Anyone familiar with West Coast traditions knows that Ben Davis is at the top of our wardrobe since the beginning of the modern era of California. This brand is durable, timeless, and warm. You’ll not go wrong with any garment from them. The only negative I would have is that it’s not waterproof. However, you can always get waterproof spray for your jackets if that’s a concern. Best brand from Cali followed by Levi’s.
