We went trout fishing over the weekend and realized that powerbait works! We caught two but had many bites. I will definitely be purchasing other scents and colors as well as using this that I have already.

Power bait has always worked well. A small treble hook and Carolina rig is my go to. It works on alot of lakes and the color is great. It is easy to pack onto the hook, just roll it around the hook. I recommend it for new anglers seeking to catch their first trout.

The Berkley green garlic Powerbait is one of my go-to baits for trout. Almost anywhere I go fishing, this bait seems to work to catch the fish!

I've heard that this corn one was considered "cheating" in a fisherman's sense, and I kind of agree. Trout go crazy for this stuff. This corn scented marshmallow stuff doesn't work as well as the glittery power bait and I have a feeling it's the scent (the scent isn't strong), but it still works fine. Considering the multicolored and glittery power bait works so much better, I had to give this one a 4 star, but it's just teetering on the edge of a 5 star rating. Use a bit of this on your fingertips and then down the line from the weight you're using to the hook before putting bait on. This masks the smell of your human hands. Trout usually get spooked by two things: seeing the line you're using and the smell of human hands.

berkeley brand on power bait is the basic of making more flavors to suit different fish, but if you notice this one and other like it, there a combination of others mixed together for different smells, example this one is hatchery black, and red or maroon mixed with a grey. for years we have mixed a little charteuse with orange or corn etc... to make up the different flavors, this just make it easier to remove then having to mix 2,3,4, together to make it up?, . but in the end its its STILL THE SAME? THERE IS AN EASIER WAY TO MIX, LOOK AT A ONLINE COLOR CHART TO GAIN YOUR COLORS YOUR WANTING TO HAVE INSTEAD OF BUYING ALL THE DIFFERENT COLORS OR FLAVORS FROM BERKELY, USE THE BASIC'S AND GO FROM THERE.
