The part circled in RED is made of 7075 CNC.

Installing this was pretty tough, my specific install is the inner ring of a 2x crankset, I had to dremel the adjustable rod to shorten it enough that it wouldn't interfere with my bottle cages, and dremel the piece itself to get close enough to the inside ring that it wouldn't rub. I have still dropped a chain once riding off a curb, I think the whole thing would benefit from being slimmer so the chain would be unable to fit between the chainring and the guide. If you are a bit mechanically minded and like to tinker this is a good buy, if you want a easy fit for any use case, this is not the product for you.

I ordered this chain guild for my ebike. I had trouble with the chain occasionally coming off the front sprocket. The chain guild is very light weight and seems fairly durable. It's easy to install and adjust with an allen wrench. After installing the chain guild on my down tube and adjusting for my chain, I have not had any problems with my chain coming off. The chain guild works very well. Glad to have found this item.

Make sure you have crank arms that are really far away from your ring. Also the bar that the guide is mounted to is so ridiculously long that it has to go into the center triangle of the frame limiting adjustment and at least for me making the guide unusable.

Using it in my cross bike to make sure the chain stays on. I have a 1x drivetrain but the frame can take a front derailleur, so instead of derailleur I put this chain holder. A narrow-wide style chainring and a rear derailleur wigs clutch means that chances of dropping the chain are slim, as this chain guide and the chances are now even slimmer. This chain catcher is really well made.
