The bull horn works fine but there is no off/on switch. I thought that I was buing the same thing as I had bought in the past but this is a different model. I like the other model a lot better. It has an off/on switch and it can take input from a MP3 player. Funny they both cost the same.

A buddy of mine who goes to a music festival called Moondance Jam with me every year bought one of these for having fun at the campgrounds. Perfect for a party environment like that. It is extremely loud. This thing isn't a toy, it's the real deal. The batteries seem to last an appropriate amount of time and you can tell when they are getting low as it won't be as loud anymore. There is a delay when you press the trigger but knowing that you can plan for it easily enough. It's also fun to have the siren. I've also bought one of these so we both have one. It's well worth the price. We've had people at Moondance offer us over $100 to buy it. Of course that's drunk people talking, but something like this would be tough to find for this price if it weren't for Amazon.

Good horn for intended purpose. it was intended for use in neighbourhood to alert householders of activities and responses after a disaster. It certainly did the trick. Just use rechargeable or good quality alkaline Batteries.

The on and off switch give the mic too much feedback. When you hold down mic switch it makes a loud and Piercing sound.

The megaphone doesn't turn off, the mic always emits sounds and wastes battery. It was a good price but I wouldn't buy it again

When I first received this product, I was dismayed by how cheap the product was made. By simply glancing at the megaphone, you can tell that it is made with very cheap materials. The trigger gun feels cheap, the trigger on the handheld mic feels cheap, everything's cheap.Plus, THE THING DOESN'T EVEN WORK. I bought the expensive 8 D batteries, and the megaphone doesn't even work. Not to mention that there isn't even an On/Off button.DONT BUY. I'm seeking a full refund from the store right now.

This item worked when we first got it in September 2010. During the recent floods on December 22nd 2010 in Laguna Beach, our police department had to order emergency evacuations. We tried to use the bullhorn only to find out the bullhorn did not work and the batteries were already dead. (BTW, We used Interstate Industrial Use batteries)I replaced it with new batteries today and it still does not work. I contacted the seller, Best Choice Products and was informed there is only a 30 day warranty on the Megaphone and there is nothing they will do for us.Don't waste your time or money buying this Megaphone.

I was helping run a 400 person high school project with the non profit that I work for and needed a bullhorn. Got here fast and worked way better than any of the high school staffs bullhorn, so they had to use mine as a result. Good range, great product, best service.
