The part for my fridge was no longer available but I saw these and they looked durn near the same thing. The only difference is that these have an 'extra' terminal because they are intended to be used with a compressor that requires a starting capacitor. Mine did not, so you simply solder a wire from terminal 1 to terminal 2 to give the 'direct' start to the compressor. Worked a charm, the old fridge is good for another 30 years I guess. (I'm still going to replace the fridge but now can take my time and shop around instead of an 'emergency' purchase)

There was absolutely no problem with the relay but just a couple things if you're like me and you're not used to dealing with refrigeration parts and relays and what not. First, the relay pictured is not the one that I received. I don't have a pic, but there is no white section. The biggest issue that I encountered was that the relay I was replacing had one terminal and the new one had 3. After hours of searching, we figured out that if your compressor does not have a start capacitor, you will need to make a jumper from the side terminal to the top. This is the only way that the relay and the compressor will properly work. Hope this helps someone in the future save the hours and hours it took for us to find this solution.
