I bought it for my daughter when she was about 3. She is 7 now but we used it for other nieces and nephews and even my first grandchild. Very durable. Makes clean up easy. Highly recommend.

This bib is great. Covers the lap so all mess is caught. All other bibs are too little/short and you are still left with a mess. It also more soft than I thought but also still water wicking so it's easy to wipe off and then reuse for the next meal. The only thing if I were to nit pick (does not make it a deal breaker though) I'd that the back neck strap is velcro and the little one rips it off herself when she's done and gets mess in her hair from her hands reaching back. The velcro in the back is fine. Wish the neck one was a button or something.

I purchased this for my 4 year old granddaughter that tends to get food on her clothes when she eats. I First ordered one in the XL size - next size up - thinking that this one would be too small. The next size up swallowed her so I ordered this size. It fits but the side straps cut a little close under her armpits. She is able to wear it but probably not for long with the side straps. This size would swallow an average 1 or 2 year old. The next size was way too big and I actually use it for her brother when he's eating something drippy. He's almost 8 and weighs over 100 lbs and wears 12-14 shirts. She is 4 and weighs 40 lbs and wears 5T clothes. There really needs to be a size in-between the two sizes that would better fit an average like 4-6 year old. The fabric is sturdy, liquids don't come through and it washes nicely.

I wanted to love this so bad. I was hoping it would be the answer for our constant struggle with the messes associated with feeding our 1 year old. Well, it works in some respects. Catches some food that would otherwise end up in her lap, and definitely does a better job of keeping clothes underneath cleaner than a normal bib would. However, after only a few days, my daughter was able to pull Velcro apart and remove the bib, which of course flung all the captured food everywhere. We'be finally come to the realization there may be no holy grail when it comes to feeding a toddler. Messes are unavoidable.

My favorite bib! And I am on baby 5!!! This works for a 6 month old - small 6 year old or even a little older (great for lobster or crawfish, no I don't make my big kids wear bibs usually!) I love the dual neck and back fasteners, keeps the bib in place well. My 2 year old (with superhuman powers) can pull through the velcro to undo the neck, but not the back. We give him a stern warning and it is back on.... Does not stain, even baby carrots and smushed berries... just keep wiping at it with soapy cloth - or just water and toss in the wash. I don't wash it until it is really bad though - just wipe after each meal. It is soft and comfy like cloth, waterproof, but liquids don't just pour off. Long size really helps catch more and keep baby neater. I wish the shoulder area was a little bigger/wiser though... maybe almost like a tulip shoulder/sleeve... I have had some onesies get a little messy in the shoulder, but only b/c I let my 8 month old self feed a lot and then she stretches and smears whatever she can reach. I keep a few of these in my kitchen and 2 in my diaper bag. These will last... and I'll keep for guests and maybe even grandkids someday:)

One of those, "I have a brilliant idea! Oh, it already exists..." items. After 3+ years of feeding 2 toddlers, the wife and I tired of cleaning up liquids and messy foods after each meal. "Normal" bibs just didn't do a great job of catching all the slop that ended up on their shirts, pants, baby seat, and the floor. Some of the many bibs we have:* : Relatively stiff rubber with big scoop on the bottom. Easy to clean and great in theory, it's uncomfortable for toddlers, and gets in the way of the tray table, creating a big gap for food to fall through. It should ideally be a foot longer. This one rarely gets used.* : Similar to BabyBjorn bib, but only the bottom scoop is rubber and the rest is thick fabric. Since the upper portion is fabric, the scoop portion can rest on top of the tray, but that gets in the way of the bowl/plate and also leaves a gap with the shirt and pants. We keep 2 for on the go use (rolls up compactly into the scoop portion).* : Thin, water-resistant fabric bib is compact and comfortable, but the flimsy fabric scoop barely stays open. Liquids dribble down the bib and the tray onto pants and floor. These stink like a hobo unless you properly wash and dry in the sunlight!* : Same as their regular bib above, but extra long to better cover the pants, with the scoop at the very bottom. Similar downsides as the shorter version + bigger size is a bit more challenging to clean.* : BIB-ON has the same extra-long length as Bumkins Supersized, but with much better lateral coverage and waist Velcro straps and also much thicker fabric. The fabric scoop is also stitched to form separate small-big-small scoops at the bottom to better stay open to catch food and liquid. Same downsides as Bumkins Supersized. We love this bib and bought a second one. Very highly recommended!See my review picture for size comparison. Happy feeding!
