Most hats don’t fit me so I don’t bother wearing them. I tried my boonie hat on and it’s perfect! It appears well made - I haven’t had the opportunity to wear it yet. The brim is wide enough to provide sun protection. Chin strap is secure. Happy with my purchase .

I traveled to Florida back in June where the temperatures were always in the upper 90s with a humidity percentage just as high, if not higher. Anyhow, I bought this hat to accompany me on the trip, I knew it would be hot, humid and that I would be spending a lot of time outside, so I figured it would be a good idea to get a hat to help protect from the sun (since I always seem to forget sunscreen), but I wanted something that would stay on my head on the water too, so it had to have a strap or tie. When I saw the hat, price, material, and features, I knew this hat would work well. Throughout the day I was able to soak and ring out the hat, to keep myself cooler, the sturdy rim offered ample sun protection, the tie kept the hat on, even when there was wind, and the color and style of the hat worked with everything. Aside from being light-weight, easy to store, and versatile, the hat has snaps on it if you want to wear one or both sides up – I did not. I also did not get sunburned or suffer heat exhaustion. I am pleased with my purchase.

Really good quality very similar to what you get issued when serving . Only one real fault not totally waterproof but buy an inexpensive waterproofing spray and job done

I have a big head and a big mop of hair and it’s always been a struggle to find a hat that doesn’t make it like I’m wearing a beanie or that doesn’t start cutting off circulation lol.I have a size 8 head, got the 2xl/3xl size and it fits real nice with a little wiggle room so I don’t feel like I’m about to pass out especially when worn in hot sunny summer days.The hat does have a relatively wide brim. The brim is not super rigid which allows you to dip certain parts of the rim down further than other parts but that’s how I like them. It’s not so much a bucket hat as it is more of a safari or outback hat. You can actually fold one or both sides of the brim up and snap it to the sides of the hat with a button to give it a more cowboy hat look. It also comes with a removable strap that will help your hat from flying away in strong winds and allow you to take your hat off while keeping it with you without having to hold it (it basically hangs down your back.The hat is made of very durable denim like material. It is thick. I wore this in 90 degree heat in the beach and it really didn’t sweat me out per se. It’s not breathable like a straw hat but there is some venting that’s prevents it from being a walking sweat box.I loved it and thought it made me look ruggedly cool. For what it’s worth lol.

Bought the 2x-3x size as nothing else I could find would fit my head (8.5 hat size). This hat fits very well and is very comfortable to wear. I think it has loosened up a bit, but still a great fitting hat. My only complaint is that after a few wears the color started fading around the brim.I'd probably buy another as I don't have many hats that fit and are as comfortable as this one. I just wish the color hadn't changed like it did.
