if you don't have one of these, yet. i would recommend one, just be sure to get the screw tight and perhaps add a tiny drop of lock tight to the screw when putting it back together

I used this for a Wahoo Elemnt V2. The metallic piece used to hold the lanyard to the Elemnt does not fit perfectly on it, but it keeps the lanyard secure and does what it needs to. With the Lanyard attached to the Elemnt and my handlebar I can now ride without worrying about the Elemnt falling off in transit.

This is for tethering your ELEMNT GPS near its mount. It’s supposed to prevent loss. It attaches to my Roam via a loop through a mount on the Roam. It then loops around my handlebar with an elasticized loop. This tether works for me when I loop it around my wrist to take a bike that doesn’t have the attached mount as well. Usually short trips. My Roam stays nicely attached and I got this tether for extra security. It fits even when the Roam has the silicone case installed.It’s not perfect because it’s a little fiddly to attach and remove. I recommend it even though it’s overpriced and may well be considered overkill.

I almost lost my Wahoo when my mount broke on long ride. The insert on the mount broke on a pot hole sending my roam skipping across the street. The driver in the opposite lane seen it and drove around it, thank goodness. Now I have have added insurance this won’t happen again!

Have heard of people losing their bike computer on rides. Sure enough wrecked on mountain bike and mounting unit snapped. Instead of searching through leaves on the side of a hill to find my Wahoo, it was conveniently dangling from my handlebars. Score! Wouldn’t MTB without one of these lanyards.

But since they don't, you have to buy one if you don't want to see your pricey bike computer go skittering down the road when a mishap occurs. So if you find yourself needing a tether (which everyone should), grab this one. Works great and installs perfectly on wahoo units. Maybe Wahoo should work with these guys and add this by default to the stuff included when you buy a head unit (c'mon Wahoo, not including this is silly).
