Do you need to install a crown race? Take it to your bike shop or buy Park/Pedro.Inherent problems:1) The tubing isn't long enough. I have a tall headtube (175mm) on my bike and it barely cleared 1" of my cut fork. If it was uncut, the tubing would leave nothing to hammer on. My steerer peeks out another 65mm and it was nearly too short.2) The metal they used... I think it's aluminum and not a hardened steel. If it's steel, it's really not hardened steel and that's a really poor choice because this is the part that get hammered. See my pictures, the tubing just gets deformed, the metal flakes everywhere and it starts losing material thus shortening the tube.I am returning because this is absolute garbage. They've never tested this themselves on actual crown race installs. Do NOT buy anything on Amazon that remotely resembles this, it is the same make and manufacturer.

Purchased some pike ultimate forks for my Marin SQ2. Never installed forks on a mtb. Didn’t wanna pay shop prices as videos online seem easy enough. The tool did its job perfectly fine. Only a couple strokes and the crown seated perfect.
