I gave this product 2 stars instead of one due to the fact that the bolts to tighten it to the bike did not snap even after hammering on them with my impact for several minutes to the point that they bent quite a bit. That being said, I never could get it tightened enough to where my dog(55lb mini pit), didn't pull the bar into my pedal zone and smashing my Achilles tendon. The elastic doesn't really provide any damper to pulling, and I can't recommend this for medium or large dogs. It does state "all dogs, all bicycles", but I did note the 80 lb weight limit in the details. My bike is nothing special, Walmart my bike. The rubber piece that is supposed to help it not move crushed and ripped apart as it was dry rotted. I ended up having to weld the collar to my bike to make it useable so the only other positive is that the shaft that holds the leash is removable bc that collar isn't coming off without hrs of grinding.

Great in theory. Durable materials. However I can't even use it because on our first ride, despite proper installation, slid around left to right, it also pulled down quite a bit. But I have a blue heeler so I didn't really expect it to work as described.

My cattle dog and I hit the trails with a whole new attitude thanks to Bike PUPS! No more white-knuckle rides while he tugged the leash like a furry rocket. This thing clips to my bike, keeps him a safe distance with that stretchy cord, and lets him sniff away like a champ. Installation was a breeze, unlike some other brands that had me swearing like a sailor. Plus, the quick-release turns it into a regular leash in seconds, talk about convenient! My dog gives it two paws up, and I give it five stars for unleashing the fun and eliminating the fuss!

Highly recommend it!!! I love going on a ride with my bike for hours but I couldn't find the time to do it because my apprehension to leaving german shepherd alone at home. All I could do was 30mins at a time. Now I go on bike rides with my dog for hours. This product has made it easier for me to get my dog his daily exercise. Me and my dog are now an unstoppable force :)
