The quality is good but seemed like this would be able to fit my son’s bike and it didn’t at all. I specifically typed in brake pads for kids bikes and this was the first thing that came up. I guess it’s partly my fault for not researching more, but it’s also frustrating that these should be for a wide range of bikes and it doesn’t even come close to fitting my sons 18” bicycle. 4 stars for quality, -1 star for not disclosing the types and sizes of bikes it’ll fit exactly. Why did it pop up for my search if it wasn’t going to be for what I needed? Maybe an Amazon issue?

I was looking for replacement pads for a vintage Schwinn 10-speed and didn't expect the search to be so challenging. Perhaps the Binder 100s advertised together with these pads would have been satisfactory, but I wanted something that might be more robust. These are advertised as model 1002352 in the headline and 7122134 in the technical details. What was sent to me was Binder 400s with model number 7152788. They are slightly different from what is pictured. The mounting is not offset as shown in the ones advertised and the pad ends are not as tapered. The thing that does seem correct is the length: 2 inches. However, the product dimensions given in the technical details plainly are for the packaging, not the pads (this seems to be the case for many advertised pads, which makes me wonder if there is a problem with the form that Amazon provides to these vendors). The pad face is about 1/2 inch wide, which turns out to be about 50% too wide for my rims. From the pad face to the back of the pad (where the stud comes out) is about 5/8 inch. For my vintage Schwinn I chose instead the VeloChampion Road Bike Caliper Brake Pads Inserts, which seem to fit well and are about a half inch longer than the OEMs (for what I expect to be a bit of extra braking power).

These are too large for a kids bicycle as there was.not enough gap left between the pads and wheel rim to allow installation.

High quality brake pads but you should know it fits cantilever brakes which is not usually found on road bikes so don't be misled by product description. While it didn't work for my road bike I still gave it a 5 star because you can just see that this is high quality.

Not quite "universal". A little too big for my 8 year old's 20" bike. I had to sand them down a little to get them to fit.

I had to remove a lot of the spacers to get these to fit on old steel Roadmaster V-brakes but they do fit nice and were and improvement over whatever was on it before.

We bought our grandson a used bike for $30. It's pretty nice, but needed a little bit of work including new brake pads. We bought these through Amazon and they arrived on time, and installed very easily. One thing I liked is that the photo was very accurate. I looked at the photo and I could see it was the same kind of connection where it screws on and I was pretty confident I had ordered the right replacement. Also, the photo is enough of a close up that you can easily inspect the product. After installing the brake pads, my husband adjusted the spokes a bit and we didn't even need to replace the tires, so my grandson has a working bike to get himself around town after his bike was stolen at school.
