mounted on the roof of my building with a low noise amplifier and an SDR and i am hearing 50-75miles away with ease despite being in a mountain valleyyou need to set it up right but for what it is, amazing antenna for the money. perfectly adequate for everything it is rated for, including trunked/digital signalsthe antenna does pick up some noise so you can probably get better audio quality with other antennas, especially with strong signals, but for listening to voice etc it is perfectly sufficient, and the versatility price and range of capabilities makes it an easy buy in my bookof course radio quality and placement and general interference continue to matter, but my unit performs just fine even near power lines (see picture)

I needed a base antenna for my Bear-cat BNC-355N. This Bingfu antenna with air band and scanner frequency, works better than the antenna that the scanner came in the box. It has a magnet base, I cut a piece of sheet metal, I had a 5' PVC 3/4, painted tan color, The base to hold it was 2" X 2" left from a project. Its windy here in Las Cruces, added wire tie downs on the PVC. From ground to top of the Antenna its 15' high. On air band our local airport is 25 miles, I now can pick it up. On the police side I can pickup the sub-station that is 35 miles near the NM -TEX borderline. For the price, Am a Happy listener on air traffic & police scanning.

I use this for the s. D. S 100 unit and scanner handheld, and that works great. It's worth the money. Everything comes in much clearer, a further distance.

This is great antenna with strong signal. It has a good magnet and hasn’t flew off my car. Unfortunately both of my antennas which I’ve had for a month are a total loss. The wire wher it meets the BNC connector slipped off and on my other one the wire ripped. These are very delicate antennas and you must be very gentle with them. They also rust super easy. I will not be buying again and am returning both!

I bought this to use with my Bearcat scanner in my tow truck. Works great, I can pick up about a 25 mile radius. Magnet is strong enough for 65mph on the highway and even low branches have yet to knock it loose. Plenty of cable without being crazy long. Definitely recommend this antenna.

It works well for my needs. The coax could be a bit thicker. Very thin. It could stop working the way it should due to thin coax.

reception a lot clearer with this antenna than the others I have, works excellent with hand held scanners, I have a Uniden HP436 and it improved the reception way better than the the antenna on the scanner. it also depends on where you are situated, good buy for the price.

This antenna claims 20MHz to 1300MHz, which is difficult to do for an antenna. Honestly I didn't expect much for $15, and my gut was correct. I have some very expensive equipment that shows on a good day, it might be OK above 400-500MHz, as judged by the VSWR graph. Sadly the VSWR graph is not much worse with the antenna whip unscrewed from the base. In other words, the coax is so lossy that any signal doesn't get through. and the antenna at the end barely does anything. I was hoping for better performance in the low band VHF, where my local CHP uses 38-40MHz frequently. You can see that at 38.5MHz, it has a 1:11 VSWR, which is utterly horrible. Note that in case you're not familiar with what you are looking at, lower in the graph is better.Real world performance even in the 700MHz to 800MHz bands are horrible. My scanner's stock rubber antenna used inside a car was about the same performance. The short version is that this thing is designed to look like an antenna, however seems to be a junk prop that does not perform as an antenna. Also keep in mind that these days if you buy it and want to return it, it will go to the landfill, so please save your time, money, and the environment.Do Not Buy!

item is set up outside my window and can pick up signals from about 50km away at ground level with no direct line of sign.

So interesting fact... I drive fairly fast sometimes so was wondering if it would blow off at high speeds...I topped my car out @ 153mph... It stayed on very well... Nice! If not I’d probably have a broken window lol :)Not sure how much faster it would stand but that impressed me!!The reception is also much better than you’ll get from say a “rubber duck” antenna...It’s almost as good as a 5/8 wave dipole antenna. For the $$$ it’s definitely worth it and works more than good enough for any repeater in any county ive tested.. Can typically get a police repeater from 45 miles or so depending.

I was expecting more from that antenna but it's still ok for daily use but not for high needed quality.

This antenna has it all over the stock rubber ducky antenna on my SR30C scanner. Works well both on thekitchen table and on the roof of my car. It is really meant to be a mobile antenna using the ground planeof the vehicle. Contrary to some opinions that it is cheaply made, I disagree. Yes it is light in construction but that is the way most small cartop HAM antennas are made these days. This holds true with the lead cable. Although it claims wideband coverage at 20-1000 mhz, I find that anything below 50 mhz has moderate signal fade. Above that OK. Magnet base is strong and have no problems at highway speeds. For the price you can't go wrong
