I actually lost signal strength with this antenna. Of course, I didn't like how they packaged the included coax cable. Coax has a minimum bending radius before there is internal "deformation" that will effect the cable's performance. I'm pretty sure the sharp bends that were created by stuffing the cable into such a small box didn't help any. Unfortunately, since the cable is "permanently" attached, I couldn't swap out with a known good low-loss cable. Shame. I returned it....

I have a Bushnell solarcore camera. I was getting a low to medium signal with the original antenna, after installing this antenna extension most of the day I have no signal and for about four hours a day I have a low signal now.

I live in the mountains, and my office is in the basement. I have an LTE failover modem for when my primary ISP crashes. I attached this to the antenna port on said modem, and it gets a little bit better signal, but not enough to make up for the cell service being less than good. Still, does get better reach/visibility. Wish the cable disconnected on both ends.

Works added 2 bars to signal strength to a SPYPOINT unit.Unit was unresponsive, spotty in the location I amScouting. Adding this antenna increased the signal strength which allowed the SPYPOINT to work asDesigned.

When deciding where to locate this antenna, pay more attention to upload speeds than the signal bars you get on your phone or trail camera. Cell tower signals are broadcast at a higher power level than your phone can transmit (your phone or camera is basically a two-way radio). Think about the time when you were on the fringe of service with your phone; and you could hear the caller just fine but they were having trouble hearing you.As with most antennas, location can make a difference. Higher is usually better. Moving it just a few feet may help improve performance. Omnidirectional antennas like this one are better when there are multiple cell towers within range; otherwise a directional antenna (such as a "Yagi") is better as it will focus your transmitted signal towards the tower it is pointed at.I tried this antenna; and while I got 3 bars signal strength, I could not upload photos from my trail camera. Ended up getting a directional antenna (Amazon ASIN B008Z5QB96); and pointed it towards the nearest cell tower for my carrier.

Purchased two for Spypoint Link Micro. Tried the antennas on multiple cameras. They would show an increased coverage, but would not send/transfer photos. Re-install antenna that came with the cameras, works instantly. try again with extended antenna, same thing, registers higher signal strength, does not send pictures.

Does not work/ improve cell signal. With these attached to hotspot I'm getting 1Mbps with the units outside vs In a garage with normal 4G antennas I'm getting 80+Mbps.
