I was disappointed in these screws be cause I thought I was purchasing Chicago style screws I could use the mount hardware accessories. This was probably caused by my lack of knowledge about screws causing me to misinterpret the description. They are much larger than any screw I can use so they are waste to me.

I changed the screws that came with an ax that I bought and now it is much more consistent, the screws are of good quality and robust.

Wasn't able to use other bolts with these as threads are different, but using what's in the kit works great. The various lengths make it very easy to get the right length bolt no matter the thickness of your piece. I made a custom raised platform for our little dog so she could see out our window (requested to be made by my wife), it was a fun honey do item, she was very pleased. These nuts are NOT pass through, hence you need the exact length for the thickness you are putting together. I wanted brass but they only came in black.
