Just some guy's review

Works like it should. The only problem I have had with it is that if you aren't careful with the screws when reattaching it they can fall into the skeletonized body. If lucky you can pull them out otherwise you have to take it apart again.

This is a great add on!Makes it so much easier to see any jams or clogs unlike the stock one where I spent HOURS trying to find the jam that was in the extruder to nozzle hole and I just didn’t see the black in black.

I found the extruder housing in my Bambu Lab X1C had cracked where the hot end attached, and I was seeing problems. So I decided to give this aluminum one a try, and it worked great. Everything was easy to move from the stock housing, and it fit in the printer easily. Great add on to the printer.

I bought this back when it still had four stars on Amazon, and I really wish I’d been able to see the incredibly helpful reviews warning people not to waste their money.I installed this on a Bambu A1 Mini that I purchased back in August. Before installing this, my printer functioned super well, with some slight frustrations here and there but still nowhere near the standard market of printers. As soon as I installed this "drop-in" part (read: not drop in at all) my nozzle clogged due to an extrusion issue and the filament dried, expanded, and broke off my nozzle clip before I could get home from work.Bambu was very gracious and replaced it for free even thought it wasn't covered under warranty, but about two weeks later the same exact thing happened again. I thought I had just installed it wrong, spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot what I had done wrong on the install, not realizing the part itself was the issue. I reverted to the plastic pieces that came with the machine and the only reason I am even spending time writing a review is to hopefully save you the time trying to install this and then - inevitably - having to uninstall it.Save yourself the headache. Just buy some filament and congratulate yourself for not getting duped like I did.

I got these for my Ender 5 Plus because the stock brass one was worn out allot. If you get these make sure you adjust your E steps for the extruder. The base E steps for Ender 5 Plus is 93, but to get 100mm of filament, you needed to change it to 100 with the factory Extruder. With this Stainless Steel one I had to change my E-steps to 113 to get 100mm of filament. So far it's been working really well. No more skips.

These gears grip the filament very well. They don't slip and generally provide nice results. In 3D printing, there are always little things that add up and these are a good inexpensive item to ensure that the whole system is running smoothly over long periods of time. Most people will have good results with this on a single gear extruder. The only weakness I have seen is that with certain prints that have a lot of retractions, there will be flattening of the filament. This may lead to under extrusion or even complete blocking of the Bowden tube. So if a certain print has fine detail such as fine embossed text, the retractions will add up and begin crushing PLA filament before the filament reaches far into the Bowden tube. Hence, this will lean on a slicer setting for Max Retractions.

I recently printed Delein with moderate success but when I switched back to TPU for a customer I noticed I was getting terrible underextrusion. Come to find out the Deleon has almost polished smooth the teeth on the brass hub. I have since replaced the brass with these and have gone through a whole spool of delrin, glow in the dark, and wood and teeth are still sharp. Highly recommend. Also the larger grub screws allow for a much tighter lock on the motor shaft.

I bought these last year and replaced all my printers with these. And they are far better then one comes stock. The stock wore out so quick. Once I put these on i haven' had any problems with filament not getting pulled or filament slipping. there are currently being used for my CR-10's and Hatchbox alpha and not one issue. These are really high quality and at this price point its hard not to get them. I highly recommend getting these and having some lying around in case anything happens. Its better to have spares then to be down while new ones get shipped. Again these are much better then stock. Highly recommend!
