It didn't last a year. Somehow over the winter the bottom of the glass tube cracked open and it's now useless. I did leave it out over the winter to measure snow and perhaps that was the mistake. I tried duct taping the bottom but that didn't work. Otherwise very helpful that you can pick up without pulling the support out of the ground.

Moved to South Florida and was curious to how much rain we got. I placed this in a planter on our back patio and it works fantastic. Yesterday it filled completely up in one day.

We had a smaller accurate rain gauge but wanted a bigger volume one. This one is not accurate. The inches on the side measure inches in length but not in volume. 1 inch of rain measures almost 4 inches on this one. Terrible.

I like the wire holder for the glass tube. It's attractive and sturdy. Numbers on the glass are large enough for these elderly eyes. I can't report on the accuracy; I have nothing for comparison

This rain gauge is fine - small, attractive, easy to read, although not scientific in accuracy. It came well packed, against breakage. However, although it seems sturdy, it is glass. I'll be happy if it lasts the summer in the garden! Should certainly be brought inside if weather is cold enough to freeze.

Great value. I ordered this to monitor the rain for my garden. It’s fun to watch and document. Not sure how accurate but there are no leaks and is built sturdy. Looks great in my garden!

Item is accurate for rainfall (I asked several neighbors after the last rainfall and mine was right on) as well as a pretty addition to my yard. I actually put it in a pot that I have a plant in and it looks great. Easy to read with large numbers. The part that collects the rain is glass so 4 stars for sturdiness but it is thick glass so should last a long time.

Looks like it would be easy to mount if you have a spot for it, but I don’t. I stuck it in the ground, which is also easy. 20# dog flew off the deck about 80mph and landed on it. 2 reasons why I’m telling this story. 1. It’s very hard to see when stuck into the ground. 2 In the picture, you see that black coil that holds the tube in place. That coil is a spring! When she hit it, it swung back and forth, slinging all the water out if it, but more importantly, it didn’t break and neither did the dog! What brilliant engineering! The tube is glass, not plastic. The first one I got, was shattered into a million pieces. (Not surprising since the delivery man slung it onto the porch from 6’ away) The company quickly replaced it.I hope it’s accurate, but I have no way to know.I frequently check rain gauge after dark. That isn’t going to work with this one. Clear glass reflects the flashlight and I can’t read it. Not hard to read when it’s light out.
