It's not my GI helmet bag. It's not baddest, handles aren't either,pockets are the wrong assume and the material is some rough I don't know what. If you're looking for a legit helmet bag, go to a surplus website because this isn't it. If you've never actually carried one, knock yourself out, it doesn't seem like a bad bag, just not as advertised (including the picture)

The clips in the outside pockets just came off as soon as I pulled to open pouch. Maybe just better off no clips just Velcro.

Just like my old helmet bag I had in the military but black as I ordered it. Love it and got one for my brother too!

The inside padding is thinner than the USGI bag which is much thicker. The manufacture failed to do his homework and understand what the normal pilots helmet bag goes through. It is forced into tight places for storage. The helmet is sturdy but the communication equipment attached to it needs the thick padding to protect the helmet and communications gear from rough handling of the bag.
