Acrylics have outstanding resistance to long-term exposure to sunlight and weathering. Acrylic has excellent optical properties and is more resistant to impact than glass. In addition, acrylic has low water absorption, good electrical resistivity, and fair tensile strength.
Applications are infinite, including art installations, outdoor signs, glazing, aircraft canopies, dials, buttons, lighting applications, knobs, and machine covers.

I usually use marine plastic but I needed to make an adaptor plate for a Fusion in a '80s go fast which already had smoked acrylic doors. This stuff cut very easy with the right blade and polished up perfect on the cut line with really minimal work - 400 up to 2000 then hand polished. Radius was done fast and dirty on a bench grinder and still cleaned up crystal clear. Take your time drilling it and step up the sizes or it will chip.

I built an aquarium sump using these sheets, bonded with weld-on #3. I had #16 on hand but with the right blade the cut was so smooth I didn’t need that.I used a Bauer 60 tooth 7 1/2 inch thin kirf blade which was about $6 from harbor freight. I’m sure there is something similar on Amazon. It does wel being routed but no more than 1/16th at a time 1/8th at most.The sump is 35”x5”x12” and has not leaked a drop. The material does tend to flex so is braced every 6”.The black is super gloss smooth and looks great. Note that I have not removed the white protective plastic in my photo. This will be the last step I do to avoid scratching the plastic.

I used the plexi to add to the top of some baskets I use for shelves. The size was perfectly cut and shipping was reasonable, especially given the weird size.

Just what I needed to repair the window on my truck camper. Got up one day and found my camper top glass broken. The local glass shop wouldn't do it because in needs tempered glass. I went with this and cut it myself. Great product and it was delivered early.

Wanted some black plexiglass for an overflow strainer in my fish tank. I was able to draw up a quick file and cut it on the laser and it worked perfectly. No more snails in my overflow.
