I'm fairly new to shoe polish, having stupidly neglected shoe care for many years. And so I was intrigued with this product offering two black shoe polish tins (1.75 oz apiece), a buffering cloth, and a shoe horn for a very reasonable price.It turns out that I should probably have avoided this product. I see that petroleum-based shoe polishes are not good for the long-term care of your shoes, and according to publicly available documents it appears that this shoe polish is about 74% naphtha, a petroleum-based product. It appears that naphtha is not only rather dangerous, it is not great for the long-term care of your shoes. It is recommended that your shoe polish instead be cream-based rather than based heavily on petroleum products, but this product is mainly petroleum-based, with some waxes comprising the balance.The polishing rag is nice, and the shoe horn is fine if superfluous. So I would generally avoid this product even though it looks nice and goes on fairly easily (I polished one pair of shoes with it, and have since removed the polish with saddle soap).Not recommended.

This polish does a great job. You get two tubs of polish, an application mitt, and a shoe horn. I shined my shoes for the first time and they came out great. (I included before and after pics.) This was simply done with the applicator mitt to apply and I used an old t-shirt to wipe the polish off and shine them. If I had a leather brush, I think they would have come out much shinier. Pretty good job with the tools I had on hand. I'm happy.

Not sure how many folks still use some polish at home. But I needed more black show polish, as well as a buffing mitt, and this came with both. The shoe polish itself is fine - I didn’t have any issues with it. The mitt is a little awkward to use - it’s not really shaped in a manner that allows for easy grip, but it worked fine and was soft. Beyond that, it included a plastic show horn that, while plastic, is made from that kind of plastic that easily flexes without breaking. So I imagine it is fairly durable. It gets four stars, instead of five, because the value isn’t particularly strong. I think you can probably get this for the same or lower price at the local big box store.

This review is for the polish only. The shoe horn is probably fine for what it is, and the cloth is satisfactory but its just a cloth.The polish is great. I have been using the same large tub of Kiwi for a decade now and it was finally time to replace it. I expected random name chinese junk to be junk, but surprisingly it globbed on the brush nicely and spread really well. My pleather motorcycle boots were in really rough shape and I pulled all the flaking pleather outter skin off and used this to make the boots black again and it went really well. I used my normal process of clean, brush on paste, towel off xcess, and horse hair brush to a shine. This polish went on really smooth and easy, much easier than my old Kiwi did, and shined up very nicely.Color me impressed... and color my boots a nice black again.

This black colored shoe polish set is a must have for anyone with black dress shoes and with much of the workforce now having to go back to the office instead of working from home. Since black colored dress shoes are the most universal and having to now work in the office 5 days a week, I needed something that was a great value, as I was polishing my shoes weekly, and this set by Comverix was ideal as it comes with a nice buffing and polishing mitt, that also doubles as the shoe polish holder, in addition to a shoehorn for easier shoe wearing if needed.That said, a little shoe polish goes a very long way and all was needed was a small amount applied directly onto the buffing cloth followed by gentle rubbing throughout the shoe. Afterwards, the polishing portion of the mitt was used to further enhance the sheen. At the end of the process, my worn shoes now have a nice sheen in addition to being protected from the elements. Application was easy and did not require much effort. Overall, would highly recommend this kit for ease of use, overall quality, and providing a nice shine as well as protection to the shoe.

The polish was easy to apply. It was not too wet and not too dry. I was able to apply evenly over the shoe including scuff marks.The buffing mitt brought a good shine to the shoes to where they look new.The mitt is just about the right size, not too big, but also not so small that there is no control.There are two cans of polish a buffing mitt and a shoe horn.
