I bought this just to throw on when I was welding upside down not sure how it would do and it's been way better then I expected. I haven't had one hole burned thru it and there have been many that have tried. It was a great investment for the price.

I like the weight, fit, and the 'Nehru' collar for neck protection. Sturdy snaps, and snaps on the cuffs as well; good for covering with gloves. A handy sleeve pocket for a scribe or chalk, and an inside pocket for...well, I'm no professional; maybe for securing a wallet and drivers license? Since I'm a learner, I've been spattered as much as a pro might get in a year ;-), no burn holes yet! Recommended!BTW; I'm 5'10", 160 lbs, a medium is a perfect fit over a heavy workshirt. I'd swim in a large!

I love this welding jacket! It’s very roomy, appears to be durable (I’ve welded with it on for about two weeks and no real slag marks on it yet). Overall a great value and I’d oder it again.

I bought this welding jacket to wear while turning on my wood lathe. Does a great job of keeping shavings and dust off my shirt and from going down my neck. The majority of the mess falls right off the cotton fabric. It is also half to quarter the price of actual "turners smocks". Seems well made enough to last well.

It is "light weight" as far as welding jackets go. I love the great placement of snaps. Get one size above your size. The slack provided by getting a larger size helps in putting it on. I live in Central Florida so for personal survival I have to take off jacket often. Think - hot Plasma or welding in 90+ temp and 90+ humidity. It's made from denim, about as heavy as my jeans, so breathes pretty well. I could use a refrigerated jacket ;-)I will buy again. So far it's holding up well. I wash everyday and it's been through 20+ washing and holding up well. The frequent washing cause the most "wear". I wash it very day since it is soaked with sweat and neither me nor folks could stand the smell if I didn't. I cannot use a jacket that could not be washed often.

Product look decent enough for any home/garage use, I put this on and put a lighter under my arm and within 2 second I can feel heat and on the 3 second it unbearably uncomfortable. The spot where the lighter wan on did turn a shade darker but did prevent heat from going through. The jacket materials does feel decent and I am sure that this will stop any sparks but will not stop splatters or blobs of molten. I wore this for about 10 mins in walking around the house and I did get warm in it so I might get uncomfortable if your working in a area that is not well vented. This would be best for doing light mig welding.

The jacket is comfortable except it's a little itchy around the neck at first, it works pretty well and its nice and light. I bought it for a welding class and didn't want to spend a bunch on money on something I wouldn't be using much so this fit the bill. If you are a professional welder and weld alot everyday then I don't think this is the jacket for you but if you only weld once in a while and don't mind the occasional hot spot from slag that makes it through the jacket then this is should do it for you. I'd buy another one, the slag only makes it through sometimes ;)
