After reading about every brand and type of air fryer sold on Amazon I selected this Black and Decker.It is sturdy, very simple to operate, outside of appliance does not get overly hot when on, easy to clean and, from reviewers comments, does notseem to have a history of electrical malfunctions ie. catching on fire and/or smoking. I purposely chose themidsized unit over the smallest because it has a higher wattage making for faster cooking. While the size is fine for my single household, if onecooks large batches of things,like roasting veggies, you might want to consider the larger interior air fryer. I have been very pleased with this air fryer. (Note...when air fryers first came out several years ago, I had bought another brand and larger air fryer. It was dangerously hot to the touch when on, and later I found out that it was prone tosmoking and catching on fire.I got rid of it and pretty much gave up on trusting the safety of any air fryers). Fast forward and after researching newermodels I decided to try this Black and Decker. Am very happy with it and recommend it...

This thing is great for the money! Heats up quick, perfect size for what I needed and cleans out well. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is simply the burnt plastic smell that it gives off still even after several uses.

I bought this because my old air fryer stopped working. I was bummed when it stopped working because I loved my air fryer. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was great. It worked perfectly. It was convenient and efficient. Food came out properly crisped. I used it almost every day. It was my favorite appliance. I only chose a different brand because it stopped working after two years. It was excellent up until that point. I say all this because this because I did not know an air fryer could be even better and this one is. It’s amazing. First off it’s so quiet, I didn’t even know it was on it first. It cooks incredibly fast.. much faster than my old one that I already thought was fast. Food comes out perfect. Even crispier. I can’t vouch for its longevity but it’s a stellar air fryer. Lots of bang for your buck. The only complaint I have is that the drawer is a tiny bit sticky but not enough to deduct any stars or want a different model. Buy it you won’t regret it.

This air fryer is great. It’s fast and it’s easy to clean. I bought this after reviews and to replace a pampered chef air fryer. Now the pampered chef one is one of those all in one air fryer, rotisserie that has a couple of racks. Here’s the thing that unit isn’t non stick. Overtime the inside has become stained, and the racks also become stained, and they accumulate a lot of gunk and a lot of stuff he becomes caked on. Those units run $300 and I think it’s more with all the other accessories so for about a fifth of the price I received a better unit.
