Sometimes I use my iPad as a remote monitor for my Sony FX30 via the monitor+ app. I got the Nitze cage for mounting it, and picked up this guy to serve as backup power for if the tablet’s battery starts getting low. So far this solution has worked great, and I’ve been able to keep the iPad connected and running for a full day’s shoot with just one NPF battery.I’m also thinking of a way to connect this kind of battery supply for some of my LED tube lights, to keep them powered on set without wall outlet power (they just die so quickly). If a version of this came out with locating pins or a second screw to prevent any rotating, that would be even better—but so far this has been a great piece of gear.

I bought this battery mount specifically because it fits the Sony batteries and it had a 1/4 in mount hole. Not many battery mounts fit those two specifications. After several test shoots this product provides consistent and dependable power to my Canon EOS-M cinema rig.Would buy this again if it breaks or breaks down.

Purchased to run my camera through dummy battery and Hollyland Cosmos 1, both through outlets. Worked very well.Just wished Amazon AU ranged it and not go through US.

The plate fit my battery nicely and I can use my battery again managing the weight wherever I want and running more than one device from the same battery

When I got it in the mail, I liked the minimal packaging and eco friendly stuff so good on that one. I liked the touch and feel of the actual device. Felt robust and well built for sure. I decided to charge some batteries with it first and it was wickedly fast! Definitely good for a single bay charger solution!I screwed it on my cage where my other npf adapter usually goes and I noticed since there’s no rubber on the bottom, it will shift around. I currently use the smallrig npf adapter with the same ports as this and I find that one to just have every thing I need already. Rubber on the bottom, 2 screws for added security, usb-c, 7.4v, and 12v. Not giving this one a bad rap, but the smallrig just works better for me. This one has all the same things so I expected basically the same results. Now for the kicker. When I plugged in my a6500 via usb-c to micro usb cable, it would not recognize this as just a battery. It kept trying to connect to a PC or some sort of device and then failing, which soft locks the camera, making it unusable while it’s plugged in. I tried fiddling with all of the settings but they all gave me the same result. The smallrig plate I have does not do this. I assume it’s because of the chipset and I’m unsure if this device supports firmware updates but I would like to see that in the future as well as the other updates I mentioned.I really, really like the design, but I would really like to see just a little more. It also just, flat out, didn’t work for me and that’s okay. I’d like to see this fixed in the future but for now I’m going to return it.

I love the first version. It was simple, produced and worked very well. All three sizes of batteries went on with no problem. This one is the total opposite. Got it mounted on to my camera cage but my 970 battery wouldn't fit. I went onto the website but there weren't any solutions.I buy products to be solutions before I go out in the field. I was so impressed with the first that I didn't read the reviews but I wish I did. I bought it so that I don't have to use dummy batteries.I will be replacing it with the first version. GOD bless.
