This should work for using the smaller 2lb spools BUT the cylinder is tapered that mounts on the larger end and it wont go onto the spool reel as shown in the pics, it instead only goes on reversed where that has to be removed to swap out the 2lb spool. It should still work im hoping but it doesnt make any sense why it tapers down on ID probably 1/8 inch or more. And because its mounted reversed, the dowel on the reel intended to hold the arm of the adapter in place via the provided hole, doesnt function as intended and it relies purely on being tightened onto the reel.Update, ran the machine with it for a couple generic beads and it works but feeding the wire was a real hassle not having the arm of the adapter on the intended side. I do question if this is a genuine or counterfit because of the taper which could not work the other way round. It solves my problem but its suspect

Got an OLD OLD OLD welder marketed by Snap On back in the 90's. It only takes large spools. Sought out a solution to use 1/2 lb spools on my machine. This adapter fit the bill. Had to modify it by drilling a hole for the locking pin, but for what it costs - din't feel bad about making the modification. Works great!

I bought the blue demon stainless steel flux core wire. But my used SnapOn mig welded had a larger diameter spool holder and it did not come with any adapters. This fit my Mig 135 perfectly and now I can run the small spool of wire (which is amazing). I had to trim this down, because my spool holder was not deep. But because this is plastic, that was a breeze.I'm very happy with it.

Not the greatest, didn’t fit correctly on my welder, I think the taper was backwards. I needed it today so I sanded it quite a bit to work. Picture shows an orange one this was black. If it came fitting correctly would give it 5 stars just so people know what holds tension on the 1lb roll is simply 2 rubber sleeves. The note that came with it said you may have to adjust at times. This is not really a permanent factory solution but more so a temp one to run smaller rolls when you need specialty wires.Welder is an Eastwood MP 250i

In my particular application, this was $$$ well spent. I'm a guy that likes to make his own solutions to small (and sometimes large) problems that arise. My smaller MIG unit came with only the 10-11 pound spool roller on it. I change a lot between .023 and .035 stuff according to what I'm sparking on and this obviously enabled me to utilize the smaller 2 lb rolls of .023 when I needed it. Yep, I could have probably come up with something around the shop to fix it but this Blue Demon BLUEARC-SPL-ADAPTER was a good purchase for me. Very well made and fits both ends very well. The rubber "tensioner" works great in the case of the smaller 2 lb rolls. Quick and easy.

Works very well in my mig 200 I misread of wire coming off the bottom of spool I had to position the adapter on the bottom and run the spool upside down so the wire could feed through the wire guide. Made out of some sort of resin for the money it should be made out of metal
