I now have over 6000 miles of use with this unit on my 25' Artic Fox trailer. Pulling with a 2016 - 2500 Duramax towing a 6000-7000 # trailer. No issues. Pulls straight and levels easily. Ease of use is superb. Also the ability to get stronger or weaker support bars for different trailer tongue weight is a plus. One system for all of your trailer just have the different spring bars for each as needed.

I haven’t been able to find many reviews or descriptions of this hitch that answered the basic questions I had. So I went out and bought this one and swore that I’d write a review that can help.Greatest hitch ever. Hands down. What is my truck trailer setup? I drive a 2016 F150 ecoboost and the travel trailer is 35ft long and 8900 pounds. The hitch I used to use (and what I had been using for 4+ years) was a Husky style weight distribution hitch with a friction sway bar. It was the type of hitch that you’d grease up and slam up into the holes and use that bar to snap up the chains. For years that hitch was okay. Not terrible to operate and there was a little sway here and there but hey, it’s a 35 foot long billboard right? On Our last camping trip with that old hitch, there was “some” wind on the way home but it seemed like even when a tiny Ford Focus came up on me the truck and trailer were all over the place. YES guys I understand tongue weight and properly balancing weight left and right. BUT even with that being said, going over 55 was decent, and nearing 65 was like rolling dice (not that you should go more than that anyway).I just thought, something has to be better. So I found out about this Blue Ox hitch threw a friend and thought, “okay. I’m going to at-least try!”First thing to answer for you guys, it sticks out of the truck receiver about 2 inches more that the old one. A con for that would be to watch out for your shins and while backing up in general. (It sticks out about 14”). A pro for it would be now I can drop the tailgate when the trailer is connected and it doesn’t hit the electric jack.Next, The hitch is built for all trailer weights. You have to get the ball yourself for the correct weight, and you have to select the correct bars for the amount of tongue weight that you need, but the hitch is good for all weights.Operating it is stupid easy. With a longer chain and the spinning cam design, you don’t have to fight hooking that chain link on that tiny finger like I had too on the old one.I was skeptical on the fact that this hitch “eliminated sway”. I mean to untrained eyes it looks like the same hitch minus the friction sway bar. After I installed the hitch I immediately took it for a spin. The weather was perfect for testing it. There was a 25-35mph cross wind with gusts up to 50. I pulled onto the interstate and....... I got up to 65mph!The wind gusts would “push” the truck in that direction (like it would without a trailer) but there was little to no fish tailing. Mind you, this is 65mph with a 35ft trailer pulled by an F150 with a crosswind!! I drove long enough to have some traffic like trucks and semis l pass me and they seemed to not really have an effect at all. Almost as if the truck became 35ft longer with no pivot point. By experience, my old hitch would’ve been a white knuckle ride at 55mph max!The next day I drove it when there was no winds and I can’t even describe it. YES I am still pulling basically a stupidly long 12foot by 35foot billboard, so YES I can’t say there’s “nothing” but when my old hitch would make me sweat, white knuckle, heart palpitate, and poop my pants, I can definitely say to you, this Blue Ox Sway Pro is NIGHT AND DAY.Buy it and try it! If you don’t like it, come on it’s 2020, just return it.PS! You’ll need a 1-7/8 socket to install the ball!*****September 2023 update: Still going strong! Best hitch ever. We camp about 12-14 trips a year with it. Same truck setup too.

Works great, lift tongue to ease pressure on bars, makes bar removal so much easier.

We purchased this wonderful Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch and are really pleased with it. Our truck and 32ft TT ride very quietly now and the Blue Ox provides smoother, and more stable handling than our old WDH by a mile. We experience little to no sway using the Blue Ox, even with big trucks passing us, or heavy cross and head winds. Turning corners feels smoother and we have a noticeably tighter turning radius with the Blue Ox. With the Blue Ox we can now back up without having to remove the friction bars because the Blue Ox doesn't need friction bars (Oh Happy Days!) The Blue Ox has fewer parts and it is a lot simpler to put on and take off too..! Plus, our gas mileage went up about 1mpg with the Blue OX vs our former WDH.We purchased the Blue Ox to replace our (Eazy-Screechy) WDH. You know the one I mean .... The one with the seriously noisy friction bars that sound like bear claws on the devil's chalk board. Yeah, THAT one..! Do yourself a favor and buy the Blue Ox.

Blue OX makes a fantastic product! Be sure to get the correct tongue weight for what your going to be towing. Also backing up without remove the unit is awesome. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, it's worth the cost.

Highly recommended. I just pulled a 7500lb 10ft tall cargo trailer 900+ miles, which this SwayPro BXW1500 hitch from BlueOx performed brilliantly. The chainlink-adjustable torsion bars kept the trailer tight and inline behind my truck throughout backroad turns as well as highway speed lane changes; This hitch system significantly countered the usual sway to nearly imperceptible tugging/sway from passing rigs and tractor-trailers.it felt very safe, even with a slightly unbalanced load in rear of trailer. perfectly balancing and repacking loads does not seem as crucial for stability. (although a balanced load is always recommended)Very simple installation; BlueOx has several good instructional videos on their website showing installation and best practice... installation is certainly easy. I found this particular clamp-on version required no modifications to the trailer and easily relocated between multiple trailers. My towing vehicle is a 2500 Ram with upsized 37.5" offroad tires on a 3-inch lift, so i also fitted the needed 9-hole drop bar (BXW4002) in lieu of the standard to achieve level... the truck ran totally level and had no issue with ground clearances pulling over speedbumps, in/out of filling stations or ramped entrances....similar to another reviewer, one of the bar latch-pins came out during use, and BlueOx responded quickly to send replacement.Blue Ox has a great customer service (via email) from their factory, and it is nice to experience such a high quality US (Nebraska) made product.
