4 SIMPLE STEPS
1. Access to your resistor (usually behind/ under the glove box).
2. Release the 2 screws that secure the resistor. Unplug the resistor connector and the resistor plug.
3. Disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. Replace the old wire harness by cutting the wires and matching them to the new wire harness (take note of where each wire goes).
4. Reinstall with the new resistor. You can put some dielectric grease on in the resistor connector housing to avoid water intrusion.

So far works as needed and perfect fit in 2005 Silverado. The kit is good as comes with the 7pin wiring harness that you should change anyway. What really matters is how long it lasts and that remains to be seen. Fairly easy to install and good value. Shipped quickly. Only concern, was packed only in bubble enveloped and carton part was in was damaged. Part seems ok.
