Excellent item. Easy to hook up. Unplug one connector and plug in adapter. You spend more time taking radio out. Connects instantly everytime. I have a stock sound system and it sounds great, no change in quality.

I really liked how this Bluetooth adapter works in my 2004 Corolla. The audio quality is much better since it doesn’t rely on an FM signal. The microphone comes with a long cable, allowing you to place it wherever suits you best. The only issue was a defective wire attached to one of the connector pins, but it was easy to fix. Overall, it’s a great product, and I’ll try to upload a photo of how I installed it. I definitely recommend it if you want a better audio experience in your car!

Has been a reliable solution to hook up to an old Toyota Cassette/CD controller head unit. The CD player didn't have effective skip protection so it was next to useless. This was easy to connect with a single cord and provides a bluetooth connection directly to the head unit. Let's me keep the cassette deck and period-correct stereo in my truck while enjoying music from my phone.Auto connects just fine with a pleasant enough connection tone. I greatly prefer that to the voice version some bluetooth adapters have. Track next and previous functions work as expected. My stereo doesn't have a play/pause button to report on that. The latency seems low, average from my experience for bluetooth audio. Audio quality is great and no issues with the levels -- updated the speakers in the truck to some JBLs and has been a nice upgrade.I have no tested the USB or Aux connectivity so I can't comment on that functionality other than to say the ports are physically present. Interestingly it did some with a USB device that I assume is for MP3s. Since I have the unit mounted in the dash alongside the amp, this functionality would not be practical for me but a usb extension cable might make the port accessible at least.

It seemed like a good idea for a 2000 4runner but after taking the radio console apart and installing the unit. The led does not light up even though the unit has power because the usb on the unit itself has power. But the device doesnot connect to the radio. I bought it based off of reviews but maybe I got a bad unit. Other reviews are really good specially for 3rd gen 4runners.

Plug-and-play simplicity. Four bolts release the cover plate. Four bolts release the stereo. The supplied cable plugs into the CD cassette jack. The trickiest part is deciding where to situate the Bluetooth unit and how you want to arrange the wiring.1. The images show a charging cable, it is not included.2. The USB-A card reader is included, unless the unit is placed externally it is a rather useless feature3. The USB-A port supports charging of phones, plugging an iPhone or Android USB-A will charge phones But it does not support audio playback

This was installed on my 2003 Lexus ES300 with the stock stereo. The stereo of this year used a 5+7 connector unlike the later models. For the most part, it sounds great. Installation was straightforward and connection worked pretty much instantly. Subsequent connections, on car startup are also fast. The audio is as clear as I can remember if it was connected directly through a cassette adapter. HOWEVER, it does something with every other audio input on the device. All radio and even the cassette deck sounds noticeably worse and more quiet than before. I had to double check to be sure, but when unplugged, aerial radio sounds excellent. When plugged in, aerial radio sounds awful. I'd like to have the ability to listen to both if I need, so this is disappointing, but not a dealbreaker. If this could be fixed, I would love to know, but as of now, having bluetooth is still better than before.

I started off by watching a youtube video on how to pull the radio and install Bluetooth module (another brand). My installation took me about 30 minutes. This module also has a USB and 3.5 mm plug and a mic for additional inputs, mp3 ect. Since I was mounting my module out of sight behind the dash, above the glove box, I also bought, from Amazon, Numkuda USB 3.0 & 3.5mm Car AUX USB Extension Cable 3.3 FT Panel Headphone Male Jack Flush Mount Adapter, which is mounted below the ashtray. I have hooked up my Samsung phone using the aux cable to headphone jack, and also by Bluetooth, To my ear, I find Bluetooth just as clear and bright for music playback. Bonus no additional cable to futz with. I mounted the mic to the left of radio above the clock, a test call with my wife was clear audio over the radio and her only suggestion was to speak up a little bit, I did and then she was hearing me easily. This module is the best add-on I have installed in my truck. Over the years I have used FM transmitters which worked, sort of, on a trip I'd have to readjust the frequency due to bleed-over, not to mention the static... Then I installed an Android mirror also with an FM transmitter, and truth be told it worked pretty well for about a year before getting so much static it became impossible to listen to. The front and rear cameras record good and the GPS works well, so not a total fail.If you are thinking of getting one of these Bluetooth Car Kits, start by getting the model number off of your OEM radio, located in left lower corner of radio to the right of the SEEK button. By having the model number you will be able to see if you need the Toyota (5+7) Pin plug-in or the Toyota (6+6) Pin plug-in, once you know that, you are 30 minutes away from great sound. As you can see in the pictures I have an Amazon 8 tablet with torque running off of an OBD II Scanner (from Amazon) I had to reposition it due to it hanging down into my leg, so I purchased a y spliter (from Amazon) with switches and was able to plug it into my trucks OBD II plug as it was almost flat when plugged in. I bought my Tacoma new in 2004 and have no plan to get rid of it. Now just like my wife's 2017 Subaru Legacy I get in and start the truck, and I am automatically connected by Bluetooth to the truck, music ready to go...SO SLICK!List of Amazon purchases for my truck over the years.USB Car Charger, TeckNet PowerDash D2 9.6A/48W 4-Port Rapid USB Car Charger with BLUETEK Technology For Apple iPhone X / 8 / 7 / 6 / 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 / Mini 4,Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge and MoreiKKEGOL OBD2 OBDII 1 to 2 Ultra Low Profile 16 Pin Male to Female Y Splitter Cord Diagnostic Extension Cable with Individually Power Switch 50cm / 20"Vgate iCar2 Bluetooth New ELM327 Car Reader Scanner OBD2 EOBD Auto Scan Tool Diagnostic Scanner (black & black)SCOSCHE MAGDMB MagicMount Universal Mount for Mobile DevicesNeewer® Black Hands-free All-in-One FM Transmitter with Car Charger Cigarette Lighter for Apple iPod iTouch 5/iPhone 6/iPhone 5/5S/5C/4/4S/3G/3GS Samsung Galaxy S4/i9500 S3/i9300 Galaxy Note 3/Note 4/N900 Note 2/N7100/ HTC OneAGPtek® Black FM Transmitter Car Charger Holder Cradle for Samsung i9500 i9505 Galaxy S4 S3 iPhone4/4S iPhone5 etc.
