These are well worth the money. I had to clean a Pike not too long ago. It was a smaller one but I had a jammed thumb and couldn't grab very well with my left hand and these things delivered! Hope they last. They are made of plastic. But so far so good :))

I purchased this because my rubberized glove has gotten so crusty it is hard to grip fish. This works well for relatively flat fish, like crappie and bluegills. The crappie in the picture is just a little one that had the crankbait crosswise in the mouth. Gripper worked as you would hope to control the fist with enough grip to extract the treble hooks with my forceps. I have not had a bass as yet, and I don't think it would work for catfish. Note: This does not float. I placed it in the water at the ramp next to my kayak, and it went straight to the bottom. I probably will put it on a leash so it does not end up at the bottom the of the lake.
