B&M unimatic shifter works well. you do need this to be depressed to go into revetse& park. i sithi anove itso its easy to accidentally push down. i need extention, for car perfect, truck not so much.

Easy install, works good with a LS 4L60e swap in my Squarebody BUT doesn’t lock into gears well at all (as other have stated). You could easily push it into reverse or park or any other gear just by pushing hard enough (which isn’t hard at all really). With that being said it’s simple, functions and seems to be made well. Looks great and sits decently high for a truck shifter. If they just make it alittle more secure in each gear and alot harder to put into reverse and park (almost like a lockout) then it would probably be the best shifter for the money on the market period

Remove the neutral safety switch, slide the supplied Ford shift adapter onto shaft and center it up on the existing shift lever and mark the new hole on existing lever. Then drill out new hole, 5/16" and slightly wallow out hole to allow the threaded connector to rotate in hole drilled. Then countersink so connector can sit deep enough to allow cotter pin to be installed. That is hardest part. Once the threaded connector is ready then use the template to remove the carpeting and cut out the floor. Really just on the flat of the hump about inline with the last rear screw of the transfer case shifter is a good spot. About 2 inches to the side give or take. Use some washers to fill in the space from the old shifter cable that will be removed and you can use the original bracket to mount new cable down on the trans. Works great, all gears are right on and neutral switch works just like it should.

Its a great shift for a pick for an automatic conversion but it could use larger detents on the shift for selecting gears. Also be careful theres no reverse lock out !

easy install looks great and works great shifts firmly in place and feels like a new ride after useing the colum shifter witch sucks o this looks factory in y 1990 k5 blazer 700r4 shifts perfect no problems i would bye again for any other ride i was looking to add a little fun to the daily drive i like keeping in lower gear in town to rev it up alittl emore to get the exhaust notes out the new mufflers
