As headline says, great shifter but a pain for the street. You have to ratchet to every gear. I have a manual valve body, so to go from Park to 1st, I have to shift 7 times. Other than that its was easy to install and doesnt take up alot of room.

Well at 442$ i tought it would be perfect but it looks like i got a crack on my knob right out of the box. As received condition. I like B&M but this pisses me off a lot. 442$ which is already too expensiv3 for what it is.

Works great. Instructions and diagram for installation on a 727 are a little vague but once you have it figured out all bracket fit and work very well. Setting up the linkage was very easy. Shifter action is very nice. Cable installation is tricky as it has to be away from heat but the cable is not very flexible so routing was difficult. My only concern is the long term effect of the heat from the exhaust headers on the cable. I used a heat shield (which will be required on most if not all installations so make sure you keep this in mind if you buy this product) so hopefully that will work.Amazon Prime delivery was one day late.

This thing only has two gears it allows me to use. If you are using in a 4 speed trans you take both pins out which holds a metal plate in the middle that moves to allow you to shift. Well there isn't enough structural integrity sandwiched between it and nothing to keep it from moving and hitting the bottom keeping the lever from grabbing the next gear on the tooth ring. I called B&M and they say i have to use amazon for return but can't get amazon to return .It has a 1 year warranty on defaults and ordered it mid November 2014 and its only June 2015. This is a known common problem on this shifter btw. B&M told me to push the pin that the metal spring on the outer side of the shifter in if i could to try and push that plate back in but that doesn't work. B&M have been ZERO help and Amazon is going that way also. Sucks when you spend $300ish on a shifter and it won't work out of the box. Now I'm missing times at the track b/c my car is down. I attempted to put this in to replace a broken stock shifter and I get a piece of crap that doesn't work.

I've got a 1/4 miler I've built. A Built TH350 Transmission with a 3500 stall 10" converter.I wanted a good clean, crisp shift mechanism without breaking the bank. (not easy to do)This unit is working to a "T". Not only do I not worry about shifting into Reverse...but it incorporates the Neutral Safety switch into the unit too.The cable used to connect the shifter to the tranny is more than long enough and of great quality.I like it!
