Bleed Kit & Filler Kit Compatible with Seastar Hydraulic Steering Systems
Instructions:
1. Connect the bottle to the helm water tank (don't pierce the bottle and don't let the bottle empty).
2. Connect the bridge tube to the drain joint on the steering cylinder and loosen the joint.
3. Use the rudder to pump fluid through the system by turning the wheel in one direction. The bubbles will be pushed to the helm of the reservoir.
4. Through the fully articulated joint, manually swing the outboard motor to release the trapped air, and confirm the good air-out.
5. Note: Position the discharge fitting upward when pumping fluid with the rudder pump, it will allow

How to Use: One bridge tube screwed to the fuel tank, and one bridge tube connected to the bleed fitting.
Kind Reminder: Position the discharge fitting upward when pumping fluid with the rudder pump, it will allow air to be out from the cylinder.

Didn't even make it through the first use. Fitting literally broke in half. Find a better seller and product. Seller refused to replace this 1st rate china man special...

I bought this piece to bleed my hydraulic system. The threaded cap at the home did not fit to pour the fluid in correctly. The piece that attached to the hydraulic fluid bottle does not fit either. Beware.

THIS PRODUCT DIDN'T FIT THE QUART OIL CONTAINER LET ALONE THE SEASTAR QUICK CONNECTS. I HAD TO TAPE UP THE QUART OF OIL WITH TEFLON TAPE. I GOT OIL ALL OVER THE BACK OF MY BOAT BECAUSE THE QUICK CONNECTS LEAKED LIKE CRAZY.

The hose that is supposed to screw onto the hydraulic oil bottle didn’t screw on. At least if you are going to use sea star hydraulic fluid you will have to tape in on so that the hydraulic fluid doesn’t run out all over the place and make a mess.

The description reads "The kit includes a hose with a screw cap suitable for SeaStar, which is the same as the oil bottle,...". That is FALSE. The thread on the hose screw cap does NOT match the thread on a bottle of SeaStar hydraulic fluid. This makes the fill tube useless. The bridge tube works well and has good quality brass fittings, but the fill tube is garbage. I had to cut off the end that is supposed to connect to the oil bottle and adapt a funnel that fit into the end of the clear plastic tubing.

This product is absolute junk. The hose didn't fit properly and hydrolic fluid was spryed every where. The caps never tightened. I spent the day cleaning my boat. The tube was flimsy and not well made. I would like a refund but don't have the tube to send back because it's cover in hydrolic fluid.
