I found this to help folks get on our extra large party float that we use on the river. Set it up one time and it punctured the float about 10 minutes into use. The carabiner punctured and then dug into the side of the float. I would not consider this safe to use on inflatables, given it has sharp pointy carabiners that do not lock closed. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way.

Haven’t use it but I guess it is a good quality and useful for my need on Inter inflatable boat!

The photos are very deceiving. This is essentially nylon webbing, and has not structure to it. This isn't a terrible thing, but the photos make it look like the steps are rigid when they are actually very flexible. This is a little awkward to use as a ladder since there is so much movement. The good part is that these are very compact when folded down. It is good for emergency steps, but I doubt they will hold up for regular usage. They would be great in a child's room as emergency exit type steps. They are also fine for boating when you need extra steps for something in an area that the boat doesn't have a regular ladder. The price and the fact that these can be stored so easily makes them an ok purchase, but just be aware of what you are actually getting. If you need something more permanent you should find a different product.

This will be great to have in the boat for when I have to retrieve someone from the water. I have a 14 foot v-hull boat and it is very hard for a person to climb into when they are overboard. Whether it is one of the kids that falls off of the kneeboard and prefers a ride to shore or someone that is in need of a rescue the shape of the hull doesn't give you anywhere to push with your feet. This is not meant to be climbed like a standard ladder. Rope ladders are fairly difficult to use this way. It is more of an aid for climbing and you should be pulling on the boat with your hands to board. I stepped on and pulled at the ladder to test its strength and it passed. It is constructed from a light seatbelt material much like a safety harness. It takes up almost no space for storage. When it came in the mail the package was so small I wasn't even sure what it was until I opened up. It does not come with a carry bag or pouch but will fit it an old sunglass bag if you roll it up carefully.

I have a 10 foot Wilderness sit on top kayak and this is perfect for being able to climb back in if I want to get into the water to cool off. I have been able to climb back in without aid but it is a tedious balancing act to not flip the kayak over in the process. I also love how compact it is once rolled up and I just secure it together with a rubber band. I’m very happy with this find.

I used this for my inflatable boat. If you’re heavy, you will have a hard time using the rope ladder. You need to be some what fit to be able to pull your self up. It’s compact and easy to store it.
