This was the ideal solution for my new micro skiff. I needed a seat that could swivel enough so I could rotate and work the tiller on the outboard, and this is just the trick. Installation is easy, and while the spring mechanism is stiff when working only with the mount itself, it gives the perfect amount of tension once mounted on the seat and to the boat. The movement is smooth and quiet - very important for fishing. I am very pleased with this mount.

This is closer to the size that was already in my boat is the reason I got it. However, it only has 90 degree rotation in each direction and springs back to center when released hence they seem more suited to a barstool than a boat. This should be OK because I'll be controlling a foot operated trolling motor from the front anyway so not sure I'd need to spin all the way around in any case.Seems very well built. Should work just fine. I'll only recommend as a barstool though, since I'm not sure this is going to work so well in my boat. I don't have my seats yet so I'll have to wait to see.

I use these swivels because they fit well on some of my hunting chairs.It sturdy and pretty quiet. Easy to screw on with the pre drilled mounting holes.Good price on the swivel.
