It came in yellow not black and the screws don’t even fit so I couldn’t put it together

I’ve been “making do” with bulgarian split squats working out at home using chairs, stairs, coffee tables, and calisthenics rings. While all of those helped me get the job done, they were uncomfortable and unstable, giving me bruises on top of my feet and frequently causing me to quit a set early because of balance issues or that my form was compromised.I’m so happy to have a dedicated piece of equipment for my favorite unilateral leg exercise. I start my week off with leg day on Monday and BSS are my first exercise post-warmup (am woman, leg day is my happy place). It feels SO NICE to have a stable and cushioned place for my non-working foot. Compared to all the “making do” I’ve done, I feel virtually glued in place and can really hit my reps with focus and good form instead of worrying about controlling the discomfort or positioning of my hind foot. I can also finally consistently work and control the “elevator/escalator” differences, where a more vertical travel path hits my quads more and a more diagonal travel path works my glutes. This supports my 150lbs bodyweight fine for the “sit down, extend legs, there’s your start position” technique. I’m 5’8” and the second-from-bottom to fourth holes are a good enough height for me, leaving at least 4 more holes for height adjustment.Assembly took about 20-30 minutes with a toddler assisting. I highly recommend grabbing a socket wrench because it’s 10 bolts and the included wrenches, while they can get the job done, will probably hurt your hands by the end and I wasn’t able to get bolts as tight as I liked with the included wrenches. Don’t forget to evenly distribute the washers, and maybe take a sec to plan which end of the bolts you want where for consistency’s sake. The finished assembly is wobble-proof and I’m overall very pleased. My only possible complaint is the vinyl farting noise from the roller rubbing against the bar while you workout, and it’s just because it makes me giggle sometimes.

This stand works as expected and feels comfortable to use, so all good there. Weirdly, as simple as it is, putting it together was the real problem: The bolts are a little stiff and the cheap tools they include have trouble staying gripped, so what should've been a 5-minute project took a bit longer. But all of that is in the past now and my new squat stand and I can move forward with our life together. 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5.
