These D-rings are solid sturdy and hold up well even being bolted on with grade 8 bolts. I used a pulley rig on the winch to double the torque and anchored back to the shackle and worked beautifully pulling a golf cart up hill out of a creek!

Parts where exactly what I was looking for and couldn’t be happier with the quality and fast shipping. I do wish it would have came with at least the bolts but I understand why they dont because they don’t know everyone’s application and thickness

This is a very well made item and for the price you cannot beat it. I bought them to install on the factory openings of my Polairs Ranger front bumper.

Comes unfinished, but painted to match vehicle. Does not come with bolts for a good reason; you will need to select an appropriate length bolt for your application. It does come with backing plates. I did not use them, instead opting for a much larger and thicker backing plate. They also get an A+ for shipping packaging!

If you use the supplied backing plates Do NOT use for recovery. I made backing plates out of 1/4 plate, torqued together with grade 8 flange bolts and welded everything together. I like the peace of mind having grade 8 hardware assisting my farmer welds. Good product

Pretty hefty, oddly enough lighter than the 1/2” shackle mounts I ordered by accident from China the previous week, but material appears to be of superior quality so I would expect these to hold up quite well. Product is raw so be sure and paint unless you like surface rust - all unprotected metal rusts period, has no reflection on product quality (mine have none though). Really, really wished these had come with bolts because it would have saved me a trip to the store. As far as bolt on vs. weld, of course welding will inevitably be stronger, but your bumper is just bolted on to the frame, seems to do ok most of the time right?

Bought them to bolt one of these in the center of my tractor bucket so I could use a light duty strap instead of chain. Bought this model cause they would fit inside the narrow bucket lip. Thinking about it, realized at some point I would probably try to lift something heavy and there was no way I should trust the 3/8 inch bolts. IMHO If the load shifted side to side, even grade 8 bolts could shear off. There wasn’t enough room under the bucket lip to get a decent weld, so I bolted a Titan chain hook to the top of the bucket and will figure out how to attach a shackle to the hook. ( A number of ideas on tractor forums, but use at your own risk. )Nicely machined, but unplated & need to be painted. Would be great for bolting to bumper for canoe tiedown, or bolting to a wood post to hang my 3 pt post hole digger. So I’ll keep them for that.BTW, one of the reasons you need to buy your own bolts is that the bolt holes are blind. You need 0.650” minimum insertion and the holes aren’t all that much deeper than that. So the bolts need to be sized for the thickness of what you’re bolting it through.

I am so pleased with this mount. Sick and tired of over priced aftermarket parts... I’m not paying for your C&C machine bro... anyway these are great!Bolt size 3/8 - 1 and 1/4” grade 8 with 3/8” lock washer. Use red thread locker. I also used a snap punch to precisely mark the spot to drill. They came out great.Wash the mount and plates with hot water and dawn dish soap, dry them, and then spray with your color. Came out great.
