On the plus side, this is a very sturdy stand once it's assembled. On the minus side, the lack of instructions make the assembly somewhat mystifying. How do the parts go together? Perhaps the makers think this should be intuitive; it is not. I was saved from complete confusion by the words of another reviewer who described what was required to fit it together. My bongos fit inside the collar, with some adjustments, but just barely. I agree with reviewers who say the stand can't necessarily be lowered far enough. Depending on your height, you may not find the lowest position very comfortable, if you wish to sit while playing.

I started buying Gibraltar parts last year when i was refurbishing a 50 year old drum kit. I am consistently impressed with the quality of their products. they are solid, secure, and beefy--not flimsy. And their prices are very reasonable.This bongo stand is no exception. Works great, is solid, doesn't slip, and adjusts enough that I can use it standing, sitting high (i.e. drafting chair) , or sitting low.

My order was damaged because my item was not package well. It looked also like it was used and resold. Not happy at all.

It’s not as assemble friendly as I’d like but I like the stand very much. I’m comfortable playing with it’s sturdiness.

This stand is very sturdy and holds the bongos tightly, they will not move no matter how hard you hit them. I know, because I hit them hard... lol I highly recommend this product.

Excellent stand. Very stable and perfect for bongos or conga drums. Beware, however to purchase a drum key to adjust it (not included in this product). I already tried it with my bongos and it is great. The set up of the stand is very easy. Look up on YouTube the Gibraltar site and they will explain how to set up the stand in about two minutes. I definitely recommend it!!!
