Great set, but the ramekins are really shallow making it difficult to get a thick Creme brûlée. Otherwise amazing.

The torch works but it takes quite a while to caramelise the sugar on the creme brulee and since the tank is so small I run out of gas before I get to the 4th one. It's kind of annoying to have to go and refill it part way through. It works though and I have no other issues. I had trouble starting it at first but I realised I was pushing the button down too hard/fast and when I did it slowly it worked much better.Ramekins are great, they hold 4oz which is a bit smaller than I usually get at a restaurant but perfect for me at home.The included recipe is fantastic, I've made it twice since getting this kit 2 weeks ago, though I do suggest not beating the mixture like it says, it made it very foamy! The second time I used the lowest setting (stir) on my stand mixture and it worked a lot better, nice and smooth on top.

This little torch works well and efficiently. The accompanying ramekins are the perfect size for carmalizing sugar atop your creme brulee. It is also useful for melting that cheese on top of your burger. The price is good and the shipping is quick. I'm happy with it. Buy one now!

We found the photos used to display these two items were deceptive. If you expect nice fluted dishes similar to what a French restaurant uses for creme brûlée, these will disappoint you. The text does say 4 ounces upon careful reading, but the photos look like something more substantial. The torch device is lightweight, insubstantial. I am certain it would take eons to prepare topping for one dish, much less 4 or 6, but we did not bother to try it, since the one we were replacing was equally slight.We returned these items ASAP to Amazon for refund.
