The best jag I've ever used. far easer to start the patch in the bore than anything else I've tried.

Safer for chamber and barrel. Patches actually fit.

Matching their rod and jag together leaves no lip to damage the crown. Makes sense. Works as you need it to.

I’ve used various Bore Tech products for years. I have a new Anschutz 54.30 rifle and bought 2 of these jags for cleaning it. Used one of the jags yesterday for the first time. After running several patches down the barrel, I noticed there was a thin spiral shard of brass wrapped around the middle of the jag! This was obviously left over from machining. Only the fact that the patch covered the shard prevented it from damaging the barrel on my brand new $5,000 custom rifle! Pretty shoddy QC IMO. I removed the shard easily and the jag is ok now, but I’ll think twice about using Bore Tech products in the future.

Holds the patch securely so that you can reverse direction if needed. Even small round 22 patches.

The patches I use only cover the first knurled point leaving the 2nd knurled ridge exposed. Without a patch between the knurl and the barrel this will not be going down my barrel. Might work with other patches just fine but for me I think there are better designs out there.

This jag works great on my .22 Ruger Competition, using pre-cut patches. The jag's design firmly holds the patch in place on the cleaning rod assembly, resulting in a nice tight fit of the patch in the barrel, much tighter than the slotted rod that I had been using. Suggestion: If you insert the needle into the very center of the patch, the fit will likely be too tight. Simple insert the needle closer to one of the patch's corners, and the patch will drape nicely over the jag, but with a narrower profile. You'll get the hang of it in a minute or 2. Great product, and be sure to buy the right size for your gun barrel.
