The pin on the adapter is a pain as you can't just pop the socket on it. You have to push the pin with another tool or a fingernail if you want to install a socket.You would think that means that the socket would hold on strong. Nope, the socket comes off if you look at it funny. Seriously, if I point my impact at the floor, the socket falls off.It was only $4 so Not worth the hassle of sending it back.I'm pretty disappointed as Bosch normally has quality stuff. The name brand is why I bought this over several other optionsThe only way I've been able to use this is if I use my other hand to hold the socket onto the adapter while using the tool.If you are looking for an adapter that is easy to install a socket and harder to remove, as I was, then this is not for you.If you want an adapter where the socket is hard to install, but falls off easily, then you will love this.Fwiw, I've only removed 12 small bolts with this before I discarded it because it was such a pain.I hope you have better luck than me.

I install duct. This.is great for using an impact drill to install the carriage bolt. The ball style mac.allow the socket to fall off and get lost. Be sure to buy an impact socket so it has the matching hole.

This is the one to get if you want to lock your impact socket (the ones with a hole) onto your impact driver where it won't pull off if you need to yank it off the bolt head when it's jammed. You need a small poking device or tiny screwdriver to push the pin to release the socket when you're done. If you have a couple sockets you use regularly, buy a few and leave them attached they will not come apart in your tool bag.

Bought as a test to replace Dewalt's hex to 1/2 adapter as I snap a couple a week. Usually they last me about 300 self tapping bolts, this Bosch unit lasted about 100 in the span of six hours.Detent spring was nice to use but too weak to hold a torque limiter extension on the impact- not an issue with other brands.Too cheap to bother returning, but I wouldn't recommend.

Not even branded with Bosch name or logo. Seems strong enough but if it ever broke I'm not sure how you would get warranty service without any branding. Also the socket retention ball is very weak and sockets come off too easy for my taste. The Milwaukee adapters are better and cheaper.
