I have used metal jigsaw blades in the past, but this one leads the way! I needed to make curved cuts in 3/16 aluminum, and it was approx 8” in length. I held off using a lubricant just to test the blade out and see how it would do. After the first cut, the aluminum ran and hid in the corner of my garage! It was fast, and cut through easily and with no need to even push the blade. After I wrestled the aluminum back to my work table, I was able to complete a 10” straight cut with just as much ease! I was skeptical it would meet my needs, but this blade exceeded it.

We cut a bunch of aluminum thresholds. Blade works great and last but you MUST use a lubricant!

I bought these blades out of desperation for cutting 1/4” thick aluminum sheet. Traditional metal blades were dying a quick death, 1 blade per 10” cut. Once I starting using this type of blade, I was able to use 1 blade for over 60” of cutting and still had good life remaining.

I cut aluminum miter bars and miter tracks with these blades. Worked great. Use a medium to slow speed and cutting fluid (be sure to use one that won’t discolor aluminum). If you do you get a pretty clean cut that needs just a little work to make perfectly smooth.

This blade did cut my aluminum diamond plate quickly as advertised. Just know, though, that you will still need to deburr the edge to make it safe. It's not a crazy rough cut, as you might imagine you would get with an 8 tooth per inch, but it's not smooth, either. In all, it was a much better choice than the 24, 30 and 32 tooth blades that I tested and compared. The 32 and 30 blades burned out quickly, after less than 2 feet of 1/8" diamond plate, though leaving a nice edge. I should have used a lubricant, but was completely out at the time. The 24 tooth lasted longer, but I still had to smooth out the edge. So in all, the 8 tooth cuts like a banshee, last a long time and I had to clean the edge anyhow. So overall, if you're cutting any large amount, it's your best option. Don't forget eye protection!

This blade works good for cutting aluminum as long as you take your time and don't try to force the tool.Lubrication should be used while cutting, I use kerosene applied as the cut is progressing.Clamp the material you are cutting and don't forget the eye protection.
